Abstract

Lini produksi SF pada area Blending Center PT XYZ merupakan sistem produksi make-to-order yang didominasi oleh aktivitas manual operator, sehingga kinerja sistem sangat dipengaruhi oleh tata cara kerja, distribusi beban kerja, serta interaksi antar operator selama proses produksi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa total idle time kumulatif tiga operator mencapai 24,2% dari total waktu kerja efektif, dengan lebih dari 60% disebabkan oleh waiting IPQC result dan bottleneck process. Selain itu, mekanisme helping antar operator masih berlangsung secara informal dan bergantung pada inisiatif individu. Karakteristik tersebut menyebabkan pembentukan idle time tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh durasi proses, tetapi juga oleh perilaku dan interaksi antar operator, sehingga pendekatan Agent-Based Simulation (ABS) dipilih karena mampu merepresentasikan perilaku agen secara dinamis, berbeda dengan pendekatan simulasi berbasis proses yang hanya memodelkan aliran aktivitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan perangkat lunak AnyLogic dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa time study dan work sampling. Model simulasi dinyatakan valid dengan nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) sebesar 1,68% untuk utilisasi operator dan 2,94% untuk throughput harian. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya ketimpangan produktivitas antar operator, di mana proporsi aktivitas Non-Value Added (NVA) berkisar antara 39,29% hingga 59,95%. Dua skenario perbaikan kemudian dievaluasi. Skenario 1 berupa standarisasi helping behavior menghasilkan peningkatan throughput harian dari rata-rata 6 menjadi 9 PO per hari, meskipun utilisasi operator menurun dari kondisi eksisting (43%, 47%, dan 40%) menjadi 36%, 38%, dan 41%. Penurunan utilisasi tersebut menunjukkan berkurangnya waktu kerja yang tidak efektif akibat mekanisme bantuan yang lebih terstruktur sehingga aliran proses menjadi lebih lancar. Sebaliknya, Skenario 2 berupa pengurangan jumlah operator meningkatkan utilisasi hingga 69%-77%, namun hanya mampu meningkatkan throughput menjadi 7 PO per hari, jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan Skenario 1. Oleh karena itu, standarisasi helping behavior direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif perbaikan tata cara kerja yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja sistem produksi pada lini SF PT XYZ.

The SF production line at the Blending Center area of PT XYZ is a make-to-order production system dominated by manual operator activities, so that system performance is heavily influenced by working procedures, workload distribution, and interaction among operators during the production process. Observation results show that the cumulative idle time of the three operators reached 24.2% of total effective working time, with more than 60% caused by waiting IPQC result and bottleneck process. In addition, the helping mechanism among operators still occurs informally and depends on individual initiative. These characteristics indicate that the formation of idle time is influenced not only by process duration, but also by operator behavior and interaction, so that the Agent-Based Simulation (ABS) approach was selected because it is able to represent agent behavior dynamically, unlike process-based simulation approaches that only model activity flow. This research uses AnyLogic software with data collection methods consisting of time study and work sampling. The simulation model is declared valid with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value of 1.68% for operator utilization and 2.94% for daily throughput. The analysis results show a productivity imbalance among operators, where the proportion of Non-Value Added (NVA) activities ranges from 39.29% to 59.95%. Two improvement scenarios were then evaluated. Scenario 1, involving standardization of helping behavior, resulted in an increase in daily throughput from an average of 6 to 9 PO per day, although operator utilization decreased from the existing condition (43%, 47%, and 40%) to 36%, 38%, and 41%. This decrease in utilization reflects a reduction in ineffective working time due to a more structured helping mechanism, resulting in a smoother process flow. In contrast, Scenario 2, involving a reduction in the number of operators, increased utilization to 69%-77%, but was only able to increase throughput to 7 PO per day, far lower than Scenario 1. Therefore, standardization of helping behavior is recommended as the most effective improvement alternative to enhance the production system performance of the SF line at PT XYZ.
