Abstract

Pipa transmisi hidrokarbon merupakan aset penting dalam pengangkutan bahan produksi, baik di darat maupun di lepas pantai. Oleh karena itu, untuk memastikan aset pipa tersebut dapat bertahan dalam jangka waktu yang lama, evaluasi integritas dilakukan melalui analisis perkiraan sisa umur dan manajemen risiko. Studi kasus ini berfokus pada pipa transmisi baja karbon API 5L Grade B berdiameter 32 inci sepanjang 48000 m yang menghubungkan Stasiun Pengumpulan (SP) dengan Pusat Pengumpulan Produksi (PPP) di Sumatra. Analisis integritas dilakukan menggunakan ASME B31.8 dan ASME B31G, sedangkan pemodelan tegangan menggunakan AutoPIPE Advanced 2025. Perhitungan corrosion rate terhadap tujuh anomali General Corrosion menghasilkan nilai 0.155–0.163 mm/tahun, dengan ketebalan minimum yang dipersyaratkan sebesar 12.922 mm. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pipa dengan ketebalan nominal 15.88 mm memiliki hoop stress 199.4 MPa dan UC 1149, sedangkan pipa dengan ketebalan 20.63 mm memenuhi kriteria dengan UC 0,885. Validasi AutoPIPE menghasilkan MAPE 0.02–0.03%. Estimasi remaining life diperoleh sebesar 8.4–9.8 tahun sejak inspeksi 2024, sehingga batas operasi diperkirakan hingga 2032–2034. Analisis risiko berdasarkan API RP 581 menunjukkan Segmen 4 dan Segmen 6 berada pada kategori Medium-High Risk dengan posisi 2E, sedangkan segmen lainnya berada pada kategori Medium Risk dengan posisi 1E. Oleh karena itu, Segmen 6 dan Segmen 4 menjadi prioritas utama inspeksi berikutnya.

Hydrocarbon transmission pipelines are crucial assets in the transportation of production materials both onshore and offshore. Therefore, to ensure that pipeline assets can last for a long period of time, integrity evaluations are carried out through remaining life estimations analysis and risk management. The case study focuses on a 48000 m long 32” API 5L Grade B Carbon Steel transmission pipeline connecting the Gathering Station (SP) with the Production Gathering Center (PPP) in Sumatra. Integrity assessment was conducted using ASME B31.8 and ASME B31G, while stress modelling was performed using AutoPIPE Advanced 2025. Corrosion-rate calculations for seven internal General Corrosion anomalies produced values ranging from 0.155 to 0.163 mm/year, with a minimum required wall thickness of 12.922 mm. The results show that the pipe section with a nominal thickness of 15.88 mm generated a hoop stress of 199.4 MPa and a utilisation coefficient of 1149, whereas the 20.63 mm section satisfied the requirement with a utilisation coefficient of 0.885. AutoPIPE validation produced a MAPE of 0.02–0.03%. The estimated remaining life ranged from 8.4 to
9.8 years from the 2024 inspection date, corresponding to an estimated operating limit between 2032 and 2034. Risk analysis based on API RP 581 classified Segments 4 and 6 as Medium-High Risk at position 2E, while the remaining segments were classified as Medium Risk at position 1E. Therefore, Segments 6 and 4 were identified as the highest priorities for subsequent inspection.
