Abstract

Seni merangkai bunga berperan penting sebagai elemen dekoratif yang memperkuat karakter dan makna berbagai acara perayaan. Di Indonesia, sektor bunga telah mengalami pertumbuhan signifikan sejalan dengan meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap estetika visual untuk kebutuhan acara. Namun, pertumbuhan ini belum diiringi dengan inovasi yang memadai dalam alat bantu pendukung. Para florist sering menghadapi tantangan teknis dalam mencapai posisi bunga yang stabil akibat keterbatasan media pengaturan tradisional. Selain itu, penggunaan Floral foam semakin dihindari karena dampaknya terhadap lingkungan yang berbahaya, menjadikan Kenzan sebagai alternatif media yang lebih berkelanjutan. Namun, ketersediaan Kenzan di pasar Indonesia tetap stagnan dengan variasi bentuk yang sangat terbatas, sehingga membatasi peluang eksplorasi kreatif bagi para praktisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang media pengaturan bunga inovatif berbasis sistem modular dan didukung dengan pengalaman multisensorik. Melalui prinsip modularitas, media ini memberikan fleksibilitas yang memungkinkan konfigurasi komponen disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan florist. Desain ini juga menekankan aspek multisensorik dengan melibatkan penglihatan, sentuhan, dan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan kognitif dan emosional pengguna.

The art of flower arranging plays an important role as a decorative element that reinforces the character and meaning of various celebrations. In Indonesia, the flower sector has experienced significant growth in line with the increasing public interest in visual aesthetics for events. However, this growth has not been accompanied by adequate innovation in supporting tools. Florists often face technical challenges in achieving stable flower positioning due to the limitations of traditional arrangement media. In addition, the use of floral foam is increasingly being avoided due to its environmental impact, making Kenzan a more sustainable alternative. However, the availability of Kenzan in the Indonesian market remains stagnant with very limited variations in form, limiting opportunities for creative exploration by practitioners. This research aims to design an innovative flower arrangement medium based on a modular system and supported by multisensory experiences. Through the principle of modularity, this medium provides flexibility that allows component configurations to be tailored to the needs of florists. This design also emphasizes multisensory aspects by involving sight, touch, and to enhance the cognitive and emotional engagement of users.
