Abstract

Permasalahan sampah rumah tangga di Indonesia semakin kompleks seiring meningkatnya jumlah penduduk dan konsumsi masyarakat. Salah satu upaya yang berkembang adalah sistem bank sampah berbasis komunitas, namun pengelolaannya masih menghadapi berbagai kendala administrasi, seperti pencatatan transaksi yang dilakukan secara manual, perhitungan saldo, pencarian riwayat transaksi, serta penyusunan laporan yang belum efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengguna dan permasalahan operasional Bank Sampah Bakti Mulia Sejahtera 2, merancang aplikasi bank sampah menggunakan pendekatan Design Thinking (DT), serta mengukur dampak sosial dan ekonomi implementasi aplikasi menggunakan metode Social Return on Investment (SROI). Penelitian menerapkan lima tahapan DT, yaitu Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan menyediakan fitur perhitungan otomatis, batch transaction, retur transaksi, pencarian riwayat transaksi, informasi saldo dan riwayat transaksi bagi nasabah, serta dashboard monitoring sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil pengujian System Usability Scale (SUS) menunjukkan aplikasi berada pada kategori Acceptable, Grade B, dan Good. Sementara itu, analisis SROI menghasilkan total nilai impact sebesar Rp174.448 dengan rasio 0,14 : 1 selama periode implementasi, yang menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi telah memberikan manfaat sosial dan ekonomi berupa peningkatan efisiensi administrasi, kemudahan akses informasi, serta peningkatan kualitas pengelolaan bank sampah.

The problem of household waste in Indonesia has become increasingly complex due to population growth and rising consumption. One of the initiatives that has emerged is the community-based waste bank system; however, its management still faces various administrative challenges, including manual transaction recording, balance calculation, transaction history retrieval, and inefficient report preparation. This study aims to identify user needs and operational problems at Bakti Mulia Sejahtera 2 Waste Bank, design a waste bank application using the Design Thinking (DT) approach, and evaluate the social and economic impacts of the application's implementation using the Social Return on Investment (SROI) method. The study employed the five stages of DT, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. The results indicate that the developed application provides features such as automatic transaction calculation, batch transaction, transaction reversal, transaction history search, customer balance and transaction history information, and a monitoring dashboard that meets user needs. The System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation showed that the application achieved the Acceptable, Grade B, and Good categories. Furthermore, the SROI analysis produced a total impact value of IDR 174,448 with an SROI ratio of 0.14:1 during the implementation period, indicating that the application has generated social and economic benefits in the form of improved administrative efficiency, easier access to information, and enhanced quality of waste bank management.
