Abstract
Degradasi kualitas perairan urban akibat tekanan antropogenik, seperti masukan limbah laboratorium dan domestik, berpotensi meningkatkan risiko infeksi parasit pada biota air yang berfungsi sebagai bioindikator kesehatan ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelimpahan parasit, yang mencakup nilai prevalensi dan intensitas, serta mengidentifikasi status parasitisme pada populasi ikan di badan air sekitar Fakultas Sains dan Analitika Data (FSAD), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui pengambilan sampel 15 ekor ikan dari tiga titik sampling di sungai area FSAD ITS pada periode Agustus 2025 hingga Maret 2026. Identifikasi ektoparasit dilakukan dengan metode scraping pada kulit, sedangkan endoparasit diperoleh melalui pembedahan saluran pencernaan. Data pendukung berupa parameter kualitas air (suhu, pH, DO, TSS, nitrat, dan fosfat) diukur untuk menginterpretasi kondisi lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan sepat (Trichopodus trichopterus) merupakan spesies dominan yang paling representatif di lokasi sampling. Pada titik dengan kualitas air terendah (TS3), ditemukan tingkat infeksi dengan nilai prevalensi endoparasit mencapai 75% dan intensitas sebesar 43,3 individu/ekor, sementara ektoparasit memiliki prevalensi 25% dengan intensitas 4 individu/ekor. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa status kejadian parasitisme endoparasit pada populasi ikan di kawasan FSAD ITS tergolong dalam kategori infeksi sedang dan infeksi ektoparasit berada pada kategori rendah, serta dengan ditemukannya spesies endoparasit zoonotik yaitu Euclinostomum heterostomum.

The degradation of urban water quality due to anthropogenic pressures, such as the input of laboratory and domestic waste, has the potential to increase the risk of parasitic infections in aquatic biota that serve as bioindicators of ecosystem health. This study aims to determine the abundance of parasites, including prevalence and intensity values, as well as to identify the parasitism status in the fish population in the water bodies around the Faculty of Science and Data Analytics (FSAD), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). The research method was conducted by sampling 15 fish from three sampling points in the river area of FSAD ITS during the period from August 2025 to March 2026. Ectoparasite identification was carried out using the scraping method on the skin, while endoparasites were obtained thru dissection of the digestive tract. Supporting data in the form of water quality parameters (temperature, pH, DO, TSS, nitrate, and phosphate) were measured to interpret the environmental conditions. The research results show that Trichopodus trichopterus fish is the dominant species most representative at the sampling location. The research results show that the T. trichopterus is the most representative dominant species at the sampling location. At the point with the lowest water quality (TS3), an infection rate was found with an endoparasite prevalence value reaching 75% and an intensity of 43.3 individuals per fish, while ectoparasites had a prevalence of 25% with an intensity of 4 individuals per fish. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the status of endoparasitic infestation in the fish population in the FSAD ITS area falls into the moderate infection category, while ectoparasitic infestation is in the low infection category, and the discovery of the zoonotic endoparasite species Euclinostomum heterostomum.
