Abstract

Sentra Ikan Bulak (SIB) adalah pusat perdagangan hasil olahan laut dan kuliner di wilayah pesisir Kecamatan Bulak. Sentra ini dibangun sebagai wadah bagi para pedagang kaki lima di wilayah sekitar. Sentra ini berpotensi untuk meningkatkan perekonomian wilayah Bulak melalui pemasaran produk olahan ikan dan destinasi wisata kuliner. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara awal, sentra ini belum berfungsi secara optimal yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya area yang tidak beroperasi, pemanfaatan ruang yang kurang optimal, serta tampilan visual, pencahayaan, dan penghijauan yang masih dapat ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang usulan perbaikan berupa penataan ulang fasilitas berdasarkan kebutuhan pengunjung sentra. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu Design Thinking melalui 5 tahap, yaitu empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengunjung. Kebutuhan pengunjung diterjemahkan menjadi kebutuhan fasilitas dan kemudian dirancang menggunakan konsep Facility Planning dengan pendekatan Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). Kemudian rancangan divisualisasikan menjadi bentuk model 3D menggunakan perangkat lunak SketchUp. Hasil layout usulan disajikan kepada 10 orang responden untuk diberikan feedback dan diperoleh rata-rata penilaian keseluruhan sebesar 4,5 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil testing tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rancangan usulan redesain mendapatkan tanggapan dan penilaian yang cenderung positif dari responden sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai rancangan awal penataan ulang fasilitas Sentra Ikan Bulak (SIB).

Sentra Ikan Bulak (SIB) is a trade center for processed fishery products and culinary activities located in the coastal area of Bulak District. This trade center was built as a facility for street vendors in the surrounding area. Sentra Ikan Bulak (SIB) has the potential to improve the economy of the Bulak area through the marketing of processed fish products and its role as a culinary tourism destination. However, based on initial observations and interviews, the trade center is not yet functioning optimally. Several areas are no longer operating, space utilization remains suboptimal, and the visual appearance, lighting, and greenery still need improvement. This study aims to design a proposed improvement in the form of facility redesign based on the needs of the center’s visitors. The approach used in this study is Design Thinking, which consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing to identify visitor needs. The identified visitor needs were translated into facility requirements and then designed using the concept of Facility Planning with the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) approach. The proposed layout design was visualized in the form of a 3D model using SketchUp software. The proposed layout was presented to visitors to obtain feedback and resulted in an overall average score of 4.5, which falls into the very good category. The testing results indicate that the proposed redesign received generally positive responses and evaluations from respondents, making it suitable to be used as an initial facility redesign proposal for Sentra Ikan Bulak (SIB).
