Abstract
Gudang agroindustri berperan penting dalam mempertahankan kualitas hasil pertanian selama proses penyimpanan sebelum didistribusikan atau diolah lebih lanjut. Pada penyimpanan biji kakao, suhu dan kelembapan relatif (RH) merupakan faktor utama yang memengaruhi mutu produk secara langsung. Namun, gudang konvensional yang banyak digunakan oleh koperasi belum mampu mengendalikan kondisi lingkungan secara optimal sehingga berpotensi menyebabkan penurunan kualitas biji kakao. Di sisi lain, penerapan sistem pengendalian lingkungan memerlukan investasi dan biaya operasional yang lebih tinggi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan yang dapat menyeimbangkan performa teknis penyimpanan dengan efisiensi biaya dalam menentukan alternatif gudang yang paling layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan kondisi penyimpanan optimum serta memilih alternatif gudang terbaik melalui integrasi Response Surface Methodology (RSM), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), dan VIKOR. RSM digunakan untuk menentukan kondisi suhu dan RH optimum terhadap kualitas biji kakao, LCCA digunakan untuk menghitung biaya siklus hidup setiap alternatif gudang, sedangkan VIKOR digunakan untuk menentukan alternatif terbaik berdasarkan aspek teknis dan ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ketiga metode mampu menghasilkan alternatif gudang dengan kompromi terbaik antara kualitas penyimpanan dan biaya siklus hidup. Pendekatan ini memberikan dasar pengambilan keputusan yang lebih komprehensif dalam perancangan dan pemilihan sistem penyimpanan biji kakao yang efektif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan

Agro-industrial warehouses play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of agricultural products during storage before distribution or further processing. In cocoa bean storage, temperature and relative humidity (RH) are key factors directly affecting product quality. However, conventional warehouses widely used by cooperatives are unable to optimally control environmental conditions, potentially leading to a decline in cocoa bean quality. Furthermore, implementing environmental control systems requires higher investment and operational costs. Therefore, an approach that balances technical storage performance with cost efficiency is needed to determine the most feasible warehouse alternative. This study aims to determine optimal storage conditions and select the best warehouse alternative through the integration of Response Surface Methodology (RSM), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), and VIKOR. RSM is used to determine the optimum temperature and RH conditions for cocoa bean quality, LCCA is used to calculate the life cycle cost of each warehouse alternative, and VIKOR is used to determine the best alternative based on technical and economic aspects. The results show that the integration of the three methods can produce a warehouse alternative that best compromises storage quality and life cycle cost. This approach provides a more comprehensive basis for decision-making in designing and selecting an effective, efficient, and sustainable cocoa bean storage system.
