Abstract
Dosometer (belt weigh feeder) merupakan peralatan yang digunakan untuk mengukur dan mengatur laju pengumpanan material pada proses produksi pupuk NPK Phonska III di PT Petrokimia Gresik. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah menganalisis sistem dan operasi dosometer pada Unit Phonska III Pabrik II PT Petrokimia Gresik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, pengumpulan data operasi, dan analisis dokumen kalibrasi dosometer. Analisis dilakukan terhadap sistem dosometer yang terdiri atas load cell, speed sensor, Schenck DISOCONT Controller, Variable Speed Drive (VSD), dan belt conveyor, serta data feed rate material KCl, urea, offspek, dan ZA selama periode pengamatan bulan Mei 2026. Selain itu, dilakukan analisis terhadap hasil kalibrasi menggunakan parameter Range Correction serta sistem alarm dosometer. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dosometer bekerja menggunakan sistem kontrol tertutup (closed-loop control) untuk mengatur feed rate material sesuai kebutuhan proses. Data operasi menunjukkan adanya variasi feed rate pada setiap material, sedangkan hasil kalibrasi menunjukkan bahwa seluruh dosometer memiliki nilai Range Correction sebesar 0,9074–1,0976, sehingga masih memenuhi kriteria perusahaan, yaitu 1 ± 20%. Selain itu, sistem alarm mendukung proses pemantauan dan identifikasi gangguan secara real-time. Dengan demikian, dosometer pada Unit Phonska III masih layak digunakan untuk mendukung proses pengumpanan material pada produksi pupuk NPK Phonska III.

A dosometer (belt weigh feeder) is equipment used to measure and regulate the material feed rate in the NPK Phonska III fertilizer production process at PT Petrokimia Gresik. This internship aimed to analyze the system and operation of the dosometer at the Phonska III Unit, Plant II, PT Petrokimia Gresik. The methods employed included a literature review, field observation, operational data collection, and analysis of dosometer calibration documents. The analysis focused on the dosometer system, which consists of a load cell, speed sensor, Schenck DISOCONT Controller, Variable Speed Drive (VSD), and belt conveyor, as well as the feed rate data of KCl, urea, off-spec, and ZA materials collected during May 2026. In addition, the calibration results were evaluated using the Range Correction parameter, and the dosometer alarm system was analyzed. The results indicate that the dosometer operates using a closed-loop control system to regulate the material feed rate according to process requirements. The operational data show variations in the feed rate of each material, while the calibration results indicate that all dosometers have Range Correction values ranging from 0.9074 to 1.0976, which comply with the company's acceptance criterion of 1 ± 20%. Furthermore, the alarm system supports real-time monitoring and fault identification. Therefore, the dosometers at the Phonska III Unit remain suitable for supporting the material feeding process in NPK Phonska III fertilizer production.
