Abstract

PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT) merupakan perusahaan nasional yang bergerak di bidang Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC). Salah satu proyek yang sedang dikerjakan adalah Muara Laboh Stage-2 Geothermal Power Plant Project. Pada sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga panas bumi, proses condensate reinjection memerlukan sistem pengukuran laju aliran yang akurat untuk menjaga kestabilan operasi dan keberlanjutan reservoir. Sistem pengukuran tersebut menggunakan orifice plate sebagai elemen primer dan Differential Pressure Transmitter sebagai elemen sekunder. Kegiatan magang ini bertujuan menganalisis kesesuaian sizing Differential Pressure Transmitter berdasarkan hasil perhitungan differential pressure menggunakan Daniel Orifice Flow Calculator. Analisis dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan data desain yang diperoleh dari Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Flow Element Orifice Plate Sizing Calculation, dan Instrument Data Sheet Differential Pressure Transmitter. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan Daniel Orifice Flow Calculator menghasilkan nilai differential pressure sebesar 554,0 mmH₂O, sedangkan dokumen FE Orifice Plate Sizing menunjukkan nilai sebesar 538,3 mmH₂O, dengan selisih sekitar 2,9%. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai differential pressure tersebut masih berada dalam measurement range Differential Pressure Transmitter sebesar 0–5000 mmH₂O, sehingga transmitter mampu mengakomodasi kondisi operasi sistem dengan baik tanpa melebihi batas kalibrasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, konfigurasi Differential Pressure Transmitter yang digunakan pada sistem Condensate Reinjection Pump Unit-2 dinilai telah sesuai untuk mendukung pengukuran laju aliran secara akurat dan andal.

PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT) is a national company operating in the fields of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC). One of its ongoing projects is the Muara Laboh Stage-2 Geothermal Power Plant Project. In a geothermal power generation system, the condensate reinjection process requires an accurate flow measurement system to maintain operational stability and reservoir sustainability. This measurement system utilizes an orifice plate as the primary element and a Differential Pressure Transmitter as the secondary element. This internship aimed to analyze the suitability of the Differential Pressure Transmitter sizing based on differential pressure calculations performed using the Daniel Orifice Flow Calculator. The analysis was conducted using design data obtained from the Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Flow Element Orifice Plate Sizing Calculation, and the Differential Pressure Transmitter Instrument Data Sheet. The calculation results from the Daniel Orifice Flow Calculator yielded a differential pressure value of 554.0 mmH₂O, while the Flow Element Orifice Plate Sizing document indicated a value of 538.3 mmH₂O, resulting in a difference of approximately 2.9%. The evaluation showed that the calculated differential pressure remains within the Differential Pressure Transmitter measurement range of 0–5000 mmH₂O, indicating that the transmitter is capable of accommodating the operating conditions without exceeding its calibrated range. Based on the analysis, the Differential Pressure Transmitter configuration used in the Condensate Reinjection Pump Unit-2 system is considered appropriate for supporting accurate and reliable flow measurement.
