Abstract

Pertumbuhan pesat e-commerce telah meningkatkan intensitas last-mile delivery (LMD), yang menjadi tahap paling kompleks, berbiaya tinggi, dan berdampak besar terhadap lingkungan serta kondisi sosial tenaga kerja. Tanpa pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan, peningkatan volume pengiriman berpotensi memperburuk emisi, kemacetan, dan ketimpangan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak keberlanjutan, tantangan, serta pengaruh kebijakan dalam penerapan LMD berkelanjutan pada e-commerce. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan panduan PRISMA, menggunakan artikel dari ScienceDirect dan IEEE periode 2016–2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi sustainable last-mile delivery dipengaruhi oleh empat dimensi utama, yaitu ekonomi, lingkungan, sosial, dan teknologi. Dari hasil sintesis literatur ditemukan bahwa optimalisasi rute, elektrifikasi armada, penggunaan smart locker, serta dukungan regulasi menjadi faktor utama dalam meningkatkan keberlanjutan LMD. Namun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai trade-off antara biaya operasional, kecepatan layanan, kesejahteraan pekerja, serta kesiapan infrastruktur dan teknologi.

The rapid growth of e-commerce has increased the intensity of last-mile delivery (LMD), which is the most complex, costly stage and has a significant impact on the environment and the social conditions of workers. Without sustainable management, the increase in delivery volume has the potential to worsen emissions, congestion and labour inequality. This study aims to identify sustainability impacts, challenges, and policy influences in implementing sustainable LMD within e-commerce. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA framework, using articles from ScienceDirect and IEEE published between 2016–2025. The research results show that the implementation of sustainable last-mile delivery is influenced by four main dimensions: economic, environmental, social, and technological. A synthesis of the literature reveals that route optimization, fleet electrification, the use of smart lockers, and regulatory support are key factors in enhancing the sustainability of LMD. However, its implementation still faces various trade-offs between operational costs, service speed, worker well-being, and infrastructure and technological readiness.
