Abstract

Keberagaman budaya di lingkungan perguruan tinggi menciptakan peluang sekaligus tantangan dalam mendorong perilaku berbagi pengetahuan antarmahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh multicultural environment terhadap knowledge sharing behavior mahasiswa dengan interpersonal trust sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 120 mahasiswa aktif program Diploma dan Sarjana (S1) di Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multicultural environment berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap interpersonal trust dan knowledge sharing behavior. Interpersonal trust tidak berpengaruh terhadap knowledge sharing behavior sehingga tidak terbukti memediasi antara multicultural environment dan knowledge sharing behavior. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan multikultural yang kondusif mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan antarmahasiswa sehingga mendorong perilaku berbagi pengetahuan.

Multicultural Environment. Cultural diversity in higher education creates both opportunities and challenges in promoting students' knowledge sharing behavior. This study aims to examine the effect of Multicultural Environment on Knowledge Sharing Behavior with Interpersonal Trust as a mediating variable. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 120 diploma and undergraduate students. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that multicultural environment has a positive and significant effect on both interpersonal trust and knowledge sharing behavior. However, Interpersonal Trust does not have a significant effect on knowledge sharing behavior and does not mediate the relationship between multicultural environment and knowledge sharing behavior. These findings suggest that establishing a supportive multicultural environment that encourages diversity and positive interaction among students can directly enhance knowledge sharing behavior while simultaneously strengthening interpersonal trust.
