Abstract
Perumda Air Minum Tirta Buana Kabupaten Bojonegoro melalui Instalasi Ngringinrejo memanfaatkan air Sungai Bengawan Solo sebagai sumber air baku yang dialirkan melalui sistem intake menuju bak prasedimentasi. Selama kegiatan magang ditemukan gangguan operasional berupa penyumbatan sampah pada pompa dan check valve di jalur intake, yang menyebabkan peningkatan hambatan aliran (head loss) dan penurunan debit air menuju prasedimentasi. Karena suplai air ke unit Water Treatment Plant (WTP) tetap berlangsung sesuai kebutuhan produksi, ketidakseimbangan ini membuat level bak prasedimentasi menurun dan tidak stabil. Pemantauan gangguan saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual melalui pembacaan arus (amper) pompa, sementara sensor level pada bak prasedimentasi dalam kondisi tidak berfungsi, sehingga deteksi gangguan bersifat lambat dan bergantung pada pengecekan operator di lapangan. Analisis dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara operator, dan kajian prinsip aliran fluida. Sebagai rekomendasi, diusulkan penambahan flow meter ultrasonic clamp-on SUP-FSC400 yang diintegrasikan ke sistem SCADA eksisting melalui modul analog input TM3 pada PLC Schneider Modicon TM241CE40T dengan protokol komunikasi Modbus TCP. Penambahan sensor ini diestimasikan membutuhkan biaya ±Rp14.000.000–17.000.000 dan diharapkan mampu mendeteksi penurunan debit secara dini, mengurangi ketergantungan pada pemeriksaan manual, serta menjaga kestabilan suplai air menuju WTP.

Perumda Air Minum Tirta Buana (Bojonegoro Regency’s municipal water utility), through its Ngringinrejo facility, utilizes water from the Bengawan Solo River as a raw water source, conveying it via an intake system to a pre-sedimentation basin. During the internship, operational issues were identified involving debris clogging the pumps and check valves along the intake line; this caused increased flow resistance (head loss) and a reduction in the water flow rate entering the pre-sedimentation basin. As the water supply to the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) continued to meet production demands, this imbalance caused the water level in the pre-sedimentation basin to drop and become unstable. Currently, monitoring for such issues relies on manual checks of pump current (amperage) readings, while the level sensor in the pre-sedimentation basin is non-functional; consequently, fault detection is slow and dependent on field inspections by operators. The analysis was conducted through field observations, operator interviews, and a review of fluid flow principles. As a recommendation, the installation of an SUP-FSC400 clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter is proposed, to be integrated into the existing SCADA system via a TM3 analog input module on a Schneider Modicon TM241CE40T PLC using the Modbus TCP communication protocol. This sensor installation is estimated to cost between IDR 14,000,000 and IDR 17,000,000; it is expected to enable early detection of flow rate drops, reduce reliance on manual inspections, and maintain a stable water supply to the WTP.
