The development of digitalization and changes in modern work patterns have encouraged companies to implement New Ways of Working (NWW) as a flexible and technology-based work system. This study aims to analyze the influence of New Ways of Working and Work Engagement on Employee Productivity with Work-Life Balance as a mediating variable among employees of digital platform companies in Indonesia. This study used a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 213 respondents. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4. The results showed that New Ways of Working and Work Engagement have a positive and significant effect on Work-Life Balance and Employee Productivity. In addition, Work-Life Balance was also proven to have a positive and significant effect on Employee Productivity. This study further proved that Work-Life Balance mediates the influence of New Ways of Working and Work Engagement on Employee Productivity. These findings indicate that employee productivity is not only influenced by work flexibility and work engagement, but also by employees’ ability to maintain a balance between work and personal life. The practical implication of this study highlights the importance for digital platform companies to create flexible work systems that continue to support employees’ work-life balance in order to improve productivity optimally and sustainably.
