Abstract
Kawasan cagar budaya menghadapi tantangan berupa peningkatan kondisi termal ruang luar, sementara upaya mitigasi panas sering kali dibatasi oleh ketentuan pelestarian bangunan bersejarah. Karakter material permukaan, khususnya albedo fasad dan penutup jalan memiliki peran penting dalam menentukan kemampuan permukaan menyerap atau memantulkan radiasi matahari sehingga berdampak pada kondisi termal ruang luar. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan strategi mitigasi panas berbasis modifikasi albedo dengan mempertimbangkan bangunan cagar budaya dalam menentukan batas intervensi yang dapat diterapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi termal ruang luar serta mengevaluasi pengaruh dan efektivitas modifikasi albedo fasad dan penutup jalan terhadap peningkatan kualitas termal di Kawasan cagar budaya Jalan Tunjungan, Surabaya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pengukuran lapangan dan simulasi mikroklimat berbasis ENVI-met. Variabel penelitian meliputi material dan warna fasad, material penutup jalan, geometri urban canyon, vegetasi, suhu udara, suhu permukaan, kelembapan relatif, kecepatan angin, radiasi, dan physiological equivalent temperature (PET). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa albedo fasad dan penutup jalan berpengaruh terhadap perubahan kondisi termal ruang luar. Besarnya perubahan termal dipengaruhi oleh proporsi atau luas bidang yang dimodifikasi serta geometri kawasan khususnya rasio tinggi bangunan terhadap lebar jalan (H/W). Di antara kedua variabel yang diteliti, modifikasi albedo penutup jalan memberikan pengaruh lebih besar dibandingkan albedo fasad. Strategi mitigasi panas yang melibatkan modifikasi pada elemen horizontal atau penutup jalan memberikan hasil yang lebih efektif dibanding strategi yang hanya berfokus pada elemen vertikal atau fasad bangunan. Strategi terbaik dalam meningkatkan kualitas termal adalah kombinasi grass block, Fasad Albedo Moderat atau green wall, dan vegetasi.

Heritage areas face challenges due to poor outdoor thermal conditions, while heat mitigation strategies are often limited by the need to preserve historic buildings. The albedo of building facades and pavement sufaces play an important role in determining the amount of solar radiation absorbed or reflected by surfaces, thereby affecting the outdoor thermal condition. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an albedo-based heat mitigation strategy that considers heritage buildings when defining feasible intervention areas. This study aims to analyze the outdoor thermal environment and evaluate the effects and effectiveness of modifying the albedo of building façades and pavement surfaces to improve thermal conditions in the Jalan Tunjungan heritage area, Surabaya. The research method uses field measurements and ENVI-met-based microclimate simulation. The research variables include facade materials and colors, road surface material, urban canyon geometry, vegetation, air temperature, surface temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, radiation, and Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET). The results show that both façade and pavement albedo influence thermal conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed interventions largerly influenced by the extent of surface modifications and the surrounding urban geometry, particularly the building height-to-street width (H/W) ratio. Compared with façade albedo, pavement albedo has a stronger influence on outdoor thermal conditions, indicating that heat mitigation strategies targeting horizontal surfaces are more effective than those focused exclusively to building façade. The best strategy for improving outdoor thermal quality is a combination of grass block, facade with moderate albedo (0.6) or green wall, and vegetation.
