Abstract

Kantor Kecamatan Driyorejo sebagai fasilitas pelayanan publik yang berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan administrasi masyarakat. Seiring meningkatnya penduduk dan intensitas pelayanan, kualitas ruang pelayanan menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung efektivitas layanan. Namun, kondisi eksisting menunjukkan berbagai permasalahan, antara lain tata ruang yang kurang efisien, sirkulasi pengguna yang belum terstruktur, keterbatasan area tunggu, serta fasilitas pendukung yang belum mampu memberikan kenyamanan bagi masyarakat maupun pegawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang interior Kantor Kecamatan Driyorejo untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik melalui perbaikan kenyamanan ruang, efisiensi sirkulasi, aksesibilitas, dan interaksi pengguna. Perancangan dilakukan menggunakan metode Design Thinking yang meliputi tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test, dengan didukung pengumpulan data primer melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner, serta data sekunder dari studi literatur dan regulasi terkait. Solusi desain dikembangkan melalui penerapan pendekatan Civic Comfort Design yang berfokus pada kenyamanan fisik, psikologis, dan sosial pengguna, serta dipadukan dengan konsep Community Development untuk menciptakan ruang pelayanan yang tidak hanya melayani kebutuhan administratif, tetapi juga mampu mendukung interaksi, kolaborasi, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pendekatan tersebut diwujudkan melalui penataan zoning yang lebih jelas, pengoptimalan pola sirkulasi, peningkatan kualitas elemen interior, penyediaan fasilitas pendukung yang lebih inklusif, serta penerapan identitas lokal pada desain ruang. Hasil perancangan menghasilkan desain interior Kantor Kecamatan Driyorejo yang lebih fungsional, nyaman, dan mudah diakses oleh seluruh pengguna. Redesain ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi alur pelayanan, memperbaiki pengalaman pengguna, mendukung produktivitas pegawai, serta menghadirkan lingkungan pelayanan publik yang lebih profesional, humanis, dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan masyarakat.

The Driyorejo Subdistrict Office serves as a public service facility that plays a role in meeting the administrative needs of the community. As the population grows and the demand for services increases, the quality of service spaces becomes a critical factor in ensuring the effectiveness of these services. However, the current conditions reveal various issues, including inefficient spatial layout, unstructured user flow, limited waiting areas, and supporting facilities that do not adequately provide comfort for both the public and staff. This study aims to redesign the interior of the Driyorejo Subdistrict Office to improve the quality of public services by enhancing spatial comfort, circulation efficiency, accessibility, and user interaction. The design process was conducted using the Design Thinking method, which includes the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. This was supported by the collection of primary data through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, as well as secondary data from literature reviews and relevant regulations. The design solution was developed through the application of the Civic Comfort Design approach, which focuses on users’ physical, psychological, and social comfort, and is integrated with the concept of Community Development to create a service space that not only meets administrative needs but also fosters community interaction, collaboration, and empowerment. This approach is realized through clearer zoning arrangements, optimized circulation patterns, improved quality of interior elements, the provision of more inclusive support facilities, and the incorporation of local identity into the spatial design. The design resulted in a more functional, comfortable, and accessible interior for the Driyorejo Subdistrict Office. This redesign has improved the efficiency of service processes, enhanced the user experience, supported employee productivity, and created a public service environment that is more professional, people-centered, and focused on the needs of the community.
