Abstract

Kawasan Metropolitan Surabaya mengalami transformasi lanskap yang pesat akibat urbanisasi, yang berdampak pada peningkatan suhu permukaan (Land Surface Temperature/LST). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan spasial antara suhu permukaan dengan karakteristik biofisik dan struktur lanskap di Kawasan Metropolitan Surabaya tahun 2026. Sasaran penelitian meliputi: (1) mengidentifikasi karakteristik biofisik dan struktur lanskap, (2) menganalisis variasi spasial suhu permukaan, dan (3) menganalisis hubungan spasial antara suhu permukaan dengan karakteristik biofisik dan struktur lanskap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kota Surabaya memiliki nilai NDBI dan LSI tertinggi, sedangkan Kabupaten Sidoarjo dan Kabupaten Gresik didominasi nilai NDVI, MNDWI, AI, ED, dan COHESION tinggi. Rata-rata suhu permukaan kawasan mencapai 33,41°C, dengan nilai tertinggi 37,23°C di Kota Surabaya yang membentuk klaster hotspot, sementara kawasan bervegetasi dan perairan membentuk coldspot. Analisis Multiscale Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) menunjukkan NDBI dan LSI meningkatkan suhu permukaan, MNDWI menurunkannya, sedangkan pengaruh ED bervariasi secara lokal. Evaluasi overlay klaster LISA pada wilayah dengan Local R² ≥ 0,75 mengonfirmasi bahwa pengaruh variabel dipengaruhi oleh kondisi suhu setempat; NDBI paling meningkatkan suhu dan MNDWI paling efektif mendinginkan pada klaster High-High, sedangkan ED menurunkan suhu pada klaster Low-Low namun meningkatkan suhu saat terisolasi pada klaster High-High.

The Surabaya Metropolitan Area has experienced rapid landscape transformation driven by urbanization, resulting in increased Land Surface Temperature (LST). This study aims to analyze the spatial relationship between LST and biophysical characteristics as well as landscape structure in the Surabaya Metropolitan Area in 2026. The research objectives are to: (1) identify the characteristics of biophysical variables and landscape structure, (2) analyze the spatial variation of LST, and (3) examine the spatial relationship between LST and biophysical characteristics and landscape structure. The results show that Surabaya City exhibits the highest NDBI and LSI values, whereas Sidoarjo and Gresik Regencies are characterized by higher NDVI, MNDWI, AI, ED, and COHESION values. The average LST of the study area was 33.41°C, with the highest average temperature of 37.23°C observed in Surabaya City, forming hotspot clusters, while vegetated and water-covered areas formed coldspot clusters. Multiscale Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) analysis revealed that NDBI and LSI consistently increased LST, MNDWI reduced LST, and the effect of ED varied spatially. Furthermore, the overlay evaluation of LISA clusters in areas with high model accuracy (Local R² ≥ 0.75) confirmed that the magnitude of these effects depends on local thermal conditions. NDBI contributed most strongly to LST increases and MNDWI provided the greatest cooling effect within High–High clusters, whereas ED reduced LST in Low–Low clusters but became associated with higher temperatures when isolated within High–High clusters.
