Abstract

Kabupaten Gunungkidul memiliki kekayaan alam dan budaya yang potensial, pelestariannya didukung oleh pemerintah dengan adanya Dinas Kebudayaan (Kundha Kabudayan) Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Lembaga ini bertanggungjawab dalam pemeliharaan dan pengembangan warisan budaya, sejarah, adat, tradisi, hingga seni di wilayah Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Namun pada kenyataannya, kondisi eksisting interior kantor saat ini belum secara optimal mendukung produktivitas kerja pegawai karena tata ruang yang terlampau padat serta penggunaan furnitur yang masih konvensional. Permasalahan tersebut ditambah dengan penerapan elemen budaya pada tata ruang yang masih terbatas, sehingga kantor belum optimal dalam menghadirkan identitas visual yang representatif. Dari permasalahan tersebut, Bagaimana merancang ruang kantor yang tepat untuk mengatasi area kerja yang terasa sempit? Bagaimana cara menghadirkan interior yang fleksibel, efisien, dan adaptif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pegawai, serta bagaimana mengaplikasikan elemen budaya lokal secara optimal untuk merepresentasikan identitas kelembagaan? Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan spasial dengan merancang ulang interior kantor agar menjadi area kerja yang lebih ergonomis, fleksibel, dan sarat akan nilai-nilai kedaerahan. Metode pendekatan desain dilakukan melalui kerangka kerja Design Thinking. Hasil perancangan ini berupa gagasan lingkungan kerja interior yang terintegrasi antara fungsi, kenyamanan, dan karakter, sehingga mampu menciptakan ruang kerja yang adaptif sekaligus memperkuat citra institusi.

Gunungkidul Regency possesses immense natural and cultural wealth, the preservation of which is supported by the government through the Gunungkidul Regency Cultural Office (Kundha Kabudayan). This institution is responsible for the preservation and development of cultural heritage, history, customs, traditions, and arts within the region. In reality, however, the existing office interior does not optimally support employee productivity due to an overcrowded spatial layout and the use of conventional furniture. Furthermore, the application of cultural elements within the spatial arrangement remains limited, resulting in the office's failure to present a representative visual identity. Addressing these issues, this design project poses several questions: How can the office space be appropriately designed to resolve the cramped work area? How can a flexible, efficient, and adaptable interior be created to enhance employee effectiveness? And how can local cultural elements be optimally integrated to represent the institutional identity? This project aims to resolve these spatial issues by redesigning the office interior into an ergonomic and adaptable workspace that is deeply rooted in local cultural values. The design approach utilizes the Design Thinking framework. The result of this project is an interior work environment concept that integrates function, comfort, and character, thereby creating an adaptable workspace that simultaneously strengthens the institutional image.
