Abstract
Dalam industri manufaktur, mesin freis digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk dengan tingkat presisi tinggi. Namun, penggunaan jangka Panjang dapat menyebabkan spindle mengalami penyimpangan geometris yang menurunkan kualitas hasil pemesinan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan spindle mesin freis vertikal WELL INDEX 847 berdasarkan hasil pengukuran penyimpangan geometris menurut standar ISO 1701. Pengujian dilakukan pada parameter G10, G11, dan G12 menggunakan dial indicator dengan delapan variasi sudut pengukuran dan lima kali pengulangan pada setiap sudut. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Ryan-Joiner, uji homogenitas Levene, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), uji Tukey, dan perhitungan Total Indicator Reading (TIR). Pada parameter G10 diperoleh nilai Total Indicator Reading (TIR) sebesar 0,019 mm yang menunjukkan adanya run-out pada spindle nose. Pada parameter G11(A) dan G11(B) diperoleh nilai TIR masing-masing sebesar 0,082 mm dan 0,185 mm, yang menunjukkan adanya penyimpangan pada internal taper, dengan besarnya penyimpangan meningkat pada pengukuran yang dilakukan pada jarak 300 mm dari spindle nose. Sementara itu, pada parameter G12(A) dan G12(B) diperoleh nilai TIR masing-masing sebesar 0,317 mm dan 0,316 mm, yang menunjukkan adanya penyimpangan ketegaklurusan antara sumbu spindle dan permukaan meja mesin pada bidang YZ maupun ZX. Seluruh nilai TIR tersebut melebihi batas toleransi yang ditetapkan dalam standar ISO 1701 sehingga spindle mesin freis vertikal WELL INDEX 847 dinyatakan mengalami penyimpangan geometris berdasarkan standar tersebut.

In the manufacturing industry, milling machines are used to produce components with high precision. However, prolonged use may cause geometric deviations in the spindle, resulting in reduced machining quality. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the geometric condition of the spindle of a WELL INDEX 847 vertical milling machine based on geometric deviation measurements in accordance with ISO 1701. The tests were conducted using the G10, G11, and G12 parameters with a dial indicator at eight angular positions and five repetitions at each position. The data were analyzed using the Ryan-Joiner normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Tukey's test, and Total Indicator Reading (TIR) calculations. The G10 parameter yielded a TIR value of 0.019 mm, indicating run-out on the spindle nose. The G11(A) and G11(B) parameters yielded TIR values of 0.082 mm and 0.185 mm, respectively, indicating geometric deviation in the internal taper, with a greater deviation observed at a measurement distance of 300 mm from the spindle nose. Furthermore, the G12(A) and G12(B) parameters yielded TIR values of 0.317 mm and 0.316 mm, respectively, indicating a lack of perpendicularity between the spindle axis and the machine table in the YZ and ZX planes. All TIR values exceeded the tolerance limits specified in ISO 1701; therefore, the spindle of the WELL INDEX 847 vertical milling machine was determined to exhibit geometric deviations in accordance with the evaluation criteria of the standard.
