Abstract

Perpustakaan dan masjid merupakan fasilitas penunjang penting bagi sekolah dasar Islam karena berperan mendukung pembelajaran akademik sekaligus pembentukan karakter religius siswa. Namun kondisi eksisting kedua ruang di SD Islam Al-Badar belum optimal dari segi fungsi maupun representasi identitas keislaman sekolah. Perancangan ini bertujuan mengolah tata ruang dan elemen interior perpustakaan dan masjid agar mendukung fungsi pembelajaran akademik dan keagamaan secara seimbang. Dengan penguatan identitas sekolah berlandasakan estetika Islam, serta mewujudkan suasana ruang yang interaktif dan edukatif sesuai karakteristik anak usia sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu design thinking dengan tahapan pengumpulan data kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Perancangan desain interior perpustakaan dan masjid SD Islam Al-Badar mengimplementasikan konsep estetika yang mendukung penguatan fungsi dan identitas. Konsep ini diterapkan melalui pengolahan elemen interior seperti tata ruang, bentuk, warna, material, dan elemen visual yang mencerminkan karakteristik Islami. Desain perancangan menghasilkan penataan zonasi ruang yang jelas dengan sistem perabot modular, penerapan konsep estetika islam dan identitas sekolah melalui elemen geometri Islam, serta desain yang memberikan dampak positif bagi perkembangan anak usia 6–12 tahun. Perancangan interior fasilitas penunjang SD Islam Al-Badar berbasis estetika Islam diharapkan dapat mendukung visi dan misi sekolah, serta berdampak positif pada peningkatkan kualitas lingkungan pendidikan di SD Islam Al-Badar.

The library and mosque are important supporting facilities for Islamic elementary schools because they play a role in supporting both academic learning and the formation of students' religious character. However, the existing conditions of both spaces at Al-Badar Islamic Elementary School are not yet optimal in terms of function or the representation of the school's Islamic identity. This design aims to organize the spatial layout and interior elements of the library and mosque to support academic and religious learning functions equally. It strengthens the school's identity based on Islamic aesthetics while creating an interactive and educational space that aligns with the characteristics of elementary school-aged children. The method used is design thinking, with stages of qualitative data collection through observation, interviews, and literature study. The interior design planning for the library and mosque at Al-Badar Islamic Elementary School implements an aesthetic concept that supports the strengthening of function and identity. This concept is applied through the treatment of interior elements such as spatial layout, form, color, materials, and visual elements that reflect Islamic characteristics. The design planning results in a clear zoning arrangement with a modular furniture system, the application of Islamic aesthetic concepts and school identity through Islamic geometric elements, as well as a design that has a positive impact on the development of children aged 6th–12th years. The interior design of supporting facilities at Al-Badar Islamic Elementary School based on Islamic aesthetics is expected to support the school's vision and mission, as well as positively impact the improvement of the educational environment quality at Al-Badar Islamic Elementary School.
