Abstract
Perubahan iklim dan peningkatan emisi karbon menimbulkan tekanan besar terhadap kawasan perkotaan, yang menjadi pusat aktivitas manusia dan sumber emisi terbesar. Sektor bangunan sendiri perperan signifikan dalam konsumsi energi dan pembentukan panas antropogenik, terutama di kota padat seperti Surabaya. Koridor Mayjen Sungkono sebagai salah satu pusat kegiatan komersial dan hunian memiliki tingkat Urban Heat Island (UHI) tinggi akibat minimnya ruang hijau dan dominasi permukaan kedap air. Perancangan ini berfokus pada penerapan prinsip green building sebagai strategi mitigasi Urban Heat Island untuk meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan perkotaan padat yang semakin jenuh. Kepentingan pembangunan dan kebutuhan akan lahan hijau pada perkotaan padat dengan kenyamanan termal yang buruk, dapat diintegrasikan sehingga menjadi satu perancangan yang efisien dan fungsional. Metode yang digunakan performance-based design dengan kerangka force-based framework, yang memetakan tekanan, potensi, dan kendala kawasan, serta prinsip green building membantu membentuk kriteria desain. Tujuan perancangan adalah menurunkan emisi dan suhu dalam skala iklim mikro melalui kontrol permukaan bangunan dan tapak, konfigurasi massa, mewujudkan bangunan yang rendah energi dan emisi. Perancangan juga mempertimbangkan kenyamanan pengguna dengan perancangan ruang luar yang nyaman untuk dijangkau dengan berjalan, yang sekaligus mengurangi intensitas penggunaan kendaraan pribadi dan membentuk peralihan ke transporatasi yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Hasil yang diharapkan berupa perancangan arsitektur hijau yang tidak hanya memenuhi aspek keberlanjutan, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap mitigasi UHI.

Climate change and increasing carbon emissions are putting significant pressure on urban areas, which are the centers of human activity and the largest sources of emissions. The building sector itself plays a significant role in energy consumption and anthropogenic heat generation, especially in dense cities like Surabaya. The Mayjen Sungkono Corridor, as one of the centers of commercial and residential activities, has a high Urban Heat Island (UHI) level due to the lack of green space and the dominance of airtight surfaces. This design focuses on the application of green building principles as an Urban Heat Island mitigation strategy to improve the quality of the increasingly saturated dense urban environment. The interests of development and the need for green space in dense urban areas with poor thermal comfort can interact to create an efficient and functional design. The method used is performance-based design with a force-based framework, which maps the pressures, potentials, and constraints of the area, and the green building principles help shape the design criteria. The design objective is to reduce emissions and temperatures on a microclimate scale through control of building surfaces and sites, mass configuration, and realizing a low-energy and low-emission building. The design also considers user comfort by designing outdoor spaces that are easily accessible on foot, which simultaneously reduces the intensity of private vehicle use and creates a more environmentally friendly transportation environment. The expected result is a green architectural design that not only meets the desired aspects but also makes a significant contribution to UHI mitigation.
