Abstract
Perhitungan hidrostatik dilakukan melalui evaluasi kurva station, pemotongan penampang berdasarkan draft, perhitungan luas penampang terendam, serta integrasi sepanjang arah memanjang kapal. Parameter yang dihasilkan meliputi volume displacement, displacement, Longitudinal Center of Buoyancy (LCB), Length of Waterline (LWL), dan Waterplane Area (WPA).

As one of the world’s largest archipelagic countries, Indonesia requires the development of efficient and technologically independent ship design tools. However, the use of ComputerAided Design (CAD) programs in the national shipbuilding industry is still dominated by foreign commercial software with relatively high licensing costs. This study aims to develop a simple CAD-based program capable of representing ship hull geometry and calculating basic hydrostatic parameters. Offset data or fit points are used as the initial input for section generation and are processed using the B-spline method to produce station curves and control points. Hydrostatic calculations are performed by evaluating the station curves, clipping the sections according to the specified draft, calculating the submerged sectional areas, and integrating them along the longitudinal direction of the hull. The resulting parameters include volume displacement, displacement, Longitudinal Center of Buoyancy (LCB), Length of Waterline (LWL), and Waterplane Area (WPA). Validation was conducted in stages through planar curve testing with respect to the x-axis, volume verification of simple geometries consisting of a cylinder and a sphere, and comparison of the hydrostatic parameters of the Moryacht hull against Maxsurf. The cylinder volume validation showed differences of 0.04% compared with AutoCAD and 0.14% compared with Maxsurf. For the sphere volume validation, the differences were 0.04% compared with AutoCAD and 0.53% compared with Maxsurf. Furthermore, the hydrostatic validation of the Moryacht hull showed differences of 0.366% for displacement, 0.365% for volume displacement, 0.000% for LWL, 0.116% for LCB, and 0.339% for WPA compared with Maxsurf. Since all hydrostatic parameters showed differences below 0.5%, the developed program can be considered valid and suitable for representing ship hull geometry and performing basic hydrostatic calculations.
