Abstract

Pelabuhan Malundung Tarakan merupakan salah satu pelabuhan strategis di Kalimantan Utara yang berperan penting dalam mendukung aktivitas logistik, perdagangan, dan mobilitas masyarakat. Seiring meningkatnya volume arus barang serta tuntutan pelayanan kapal berukuran besar, struktur dermaga eksisting dinilai belum mampu melayani kapal berkapasitas hingga 50.000 DWT secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan modifikasi struktur dermaga untuk meningkatkan kapasitas, keandalan, dan keselamatan operasional pelabuhan. Dermaga hasil perencanaan dirancang untuk melayani kapal berkapasitas 50.000 DWT dengan luas area 8.250 m² dan kedalaman perairan rencana 14,3 m. Tugas akhir ini membahas perencanaan perpanjangan dermaga jetty yang meliputi penyusunan tata letak (layout) perpanjangan dermaga, perencanaan pengerukan (*dredging*) untuk memenuhi kedalaman operasional, perencanaan struktur atas dan struktur bawah dermaga, serta penyusunan **Detail Engineering Design (DED)** sebagai acuan pelaksanaan konstruksi. Selain itu, dilakukan evaluasi terhadap struktur eksisting untuk mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen yang perlu diperkuat atau diganti agar mampu mendukung beban operasional dan aktivitas pelayanan kapal sesuai dengan kapasitas rencana. Hasil perencanaan diharapkan menghasilkan desain dermaga yang memenuhi aspek kekuatan, stabilitas, dan kelayakan teknis sehingga mampu meningkatkan kapasitas pelayanan Pelabuhan Malundung Tarakan serta mendukung pengembangan sektor logistik dan transportasi laut di Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara.

Malundung Port in Tarakan is one of the strategic ports in North Kalimantan, playing a vital role in supporting logistics, trade, and public transportation activities. With the increasing volume of cargo traffic and the growing demand for accommodating larger vessels, the existing jetty structure is considered inadequate to optimally serve ships with capacities of up to 50,000 DWT. Therefore, structural modifications are required to enhance the jetty's capacity, reliability, and operational safety. The proposed jetty is designed to accommodate vessels with a capacity of 50,000 DWT, covering a total area of 8,250 m² with a planned water depth of 14.3 m. This final project focuses on the design of a jetty extension, including the development of the extension layout, dredging works to achieve the required operational water depth, the design of the superstructure and substructure, and the preparation of a comprehensive **Detail Engineering Design (DED)** as a reference for construction. In addition, an evaluation of the existing structure is conducted to identify structural elements that require strengthening or replacement to support the operational loads and port activities associated with the planned vessel capacity. The proposed design is expected to satisfy structural strength, stability, and technical feasibility requirements, thereby enhancing the service capacity of Malundung Port Tarakan and supporting the development of maritime logistics and transportation in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
