Abstract

Perancangan antena mikrostrip, khususnya jenis Rectangular Microstrip Antenna (MSA), membutuhkan ketelitian dalam menentukan parameter fisik dan teknik pencatuan (feeding) yang tepat agar antena dapat beroperasi secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi yang mampu membantu proses desain antena rectangular MSA dengan mengakomodasi beberapa teknik feeding yang umum digunakan, seperti probe feed, microstrip line feed, aperture couple, dan proximity couple. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam menghitung dimensi antena, memilih metode feeding, serta memvisualisasikan hasil perancangan secara cepat dan akurat. Pengujian aplikasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil perhitungan dengan teori serta simulasi perangkat lunak antena komersial. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini mampu memberikan nilai parameter antena yang konsisten dan mendekati hasil simulasi, sehingga dapat menjadi alat bantu yang efektif dalam proses perancangan antena microstrip. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini berkontribusi dalam mempercepat dan menyederhanakan proses desain antena MSA bagi mahasiswa, peneliti, dan praktisi di bidang telekomunikasi.

The design of microstrip antennas, particularly the rectangular Microstrip Antenna (MSA), requires precise determination of physical parameters and appropriate feeding techniques to achieve optimal performance. This study aims to develop an application that facilitates the design process of rectangular MSA by accommodating several commonly used feeding techniques, such as probe feed, microstrip line feed, aperture-coupled feed, and proximity-coupled feed. The application is designed to assist users in calculating antenna dimensions, selecting feeding methods, and visualizing the design results quickly and accurately. The application was evaluated by comparing its calculation outputs with theoretical results and commercial antenna simulation software. The evaluation shows that the application generates antenna parameters that are consistent and closely aligned with simulation outcomes, making it an effective tool for microstrip antenna design. Thus, the developed application contributes to streamlining and accelerating the MSA design process for students, researchers, and practitioners in the telecommunications field.
