Abstract

Berdiri sejak tahun 1995, Perpustakaan ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh nopember) merupakan sebuah tempat yang pivotal bagi masyarakat ITS. Tidak hanya sebagai tempat menemukan literatur namun juga sebagai tempat berkerja, kolaborasi, seminar, agenda pertemuan, dan lain – lain. Perpustakaan ITS digunakan baik oleh masyarakat ITS maupun oleh masyarakat umum. Oleh karena itu, perpustakaan ITS harus mampu menjadi sebuah tempat yang mencerminkan identitas ITS dan juga tempat yang mampu memberikan pelayaan yang bagus, baik untuk pengunjung pertama kali maupun pengunjung rutin. Namun dalam beroperasinya Perpustakaan ITS, ditemukan bahwa terdapat fasilitas yang dapat dioptimalkan lebih baik untuk memenuhi pelayanan pengunjung sehingga berbagai macam fasilitas yang tersedia oleh Perpustakaan ITS dapat berfungsi maksimal dengan baik maupun dapat menunjang aktivitas pengunjung sehingga mendukung fokus bekerja. Dengan implementasi konsep Hospitality Design diharapkan dapat memuaskan pelayaan pengunjung dan memaksimalkan optimalitas fasilitas yang tersedia dan menjadikan Perpustakaan ITS sebagai salah satu perpustakaan termuka di Surabaya.

Established in 1995, the ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh nopember) Library is a pivotal place for the ITS community. Not only as a place to find literature but also as a place for work, collaboration, seminars, meeting agendas, and so on. The ITS library is used by both the ITS community and the general public. Therefore, the ITS library must be able to become a place that reflects ITS's identity and also a place that is able to provide good service, both for first-time visitors and regular visitors. However, in the operation of the ITS Library, it was found that there are facilities that can be more optimized to meet visitor services so that the various facilities available by the ITS Library can function optimally and can support visitor activities so as to support work focus. By implementing the concept of Hospitality Design it is hoped that it can satisfy visitor services and maximize the optimality of available facilities and make the ITS Library one of the leading libraries in Surabaya.
