Abstract

Salah satu tantangan dalam proses pembangunan kapal adalah pengelolaan Bill of Material (BOM) akibat adanya beberapa versi BOM yang disusun secara terpisah pada setiap tahap pembangunan kapal, mulai dari desain hingga produksi. Selain itu, penyusunan BOM yang masih didominasi proses manual meningkatkan risiko inkonsistensi dan duplikasi data serta memerlukan transformasi dan verifikasi berulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan program add-on yang terintegrasi dengan perangkat lunak CAD untuk menghasilkan BOM secara otomatis dari model kapal 3D. Add-on bekerja dengan menghasilkan model dengan data material embedded, yang kemudian data tersebut diekstrak untuk penentuan BOM. Metode penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data, pembuatan database material, pengembangan program, validasi hasil add-on, dan analisis kebutuhan material dan remnant. Program add-on terdiri atas tiga komponen, yaitu Drawing Tools, Part Identification, dan BOM Calculation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program add-on berhasil dikembangkan dan berfungsi dengan hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa add-on menghasilkan daftar dan kuantitas material identik dengan BOM existing untuk jenis material dan struktur yang sama, dengan selisih remnant kumulatif sebesar 1,10% pada pelat 8 mm dan 1,40% pada pelat 9,5 mm. Analisis kebutuhan material dan remnant terhadap 11 variasi panjang model pada kondisi stockyard ideal (unconstrained) dan non ideal (constrained) menunjukkan bahwa algoritma mampu menghasilkan nesting arrangement pada kedua kondisi, dengan rerata remnant terendah sebesar 4,81% pada material profil serta 8,21% pada material pelat untuk kondisi ideal sehingga menunjukkan bahwa kondisi ideal menghasilkan remnant yang lebih rendah dibandingkan kondisi non ideal.

One of the challenges in the shipbuilding process is managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) due to the existence of multiple versions of the BOM that are compiled separately at each stage of shipbuilding, from design to production. In addition, the BOM compilation process—which is still largely manual—increases the risk of data inconsistencies and duplication and requires repeated transformation and verification. This research aims to develop an add-on program integrated with CAD software to automatically generate BOM from a 3D ship model. The add-on works by generating a model with embedded material data, from which the data is then extracted to determine the BOM. The research methods included data collection, creation of a material database, program development, validation of the add-on’s results, and analysis of material requirements and remnants. The add-on program consists of three components: Drawing Tools, Part Identification, and BOM Calculation. The research results show that the add-on program was successfully developed and functions as intended; validation results indicate that the add-on generates a list of materials and quantities identical to the existing BOM for the same material types and structures, with a cumulative remnant difference of 1.10% for 8 mm plates and 1.40% for 9.5 mm plates. An analysis of material requirements and remnants for 11 model length variations under ideal (unconstrained) and non-ideal (constrained) stockyard conditions shows that the algorithm is capable of generating nesting arrangements under both conditions, with the lowest average scrap rates of 4.81% for profile materials and 8.21% for plate materials under ideal conditions, indicating that ideal conditions result in lower remnant rates than non-ideal conditions.
