Abstract

Keterbatasan jumlah dan kualitas material utama dapat menurunkan kelayakan serta efisiensi desain bendungan eksisting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi alternatif konfigurasi material tubuh bendungan (main dam) tipe Concrete-Faced Rockfill Dam (CFRD) di Bendungan Bener, Jawa Tengah, agar adaptif terhadap keterbatasan material. Pemodelan dilakukan dengan merekayasa material urugan pada Zona 3B (Quarry Run Rockfill) dan Zona 3C (Blasted Rockfill) menjadi 3 (tiga) skenario desain alternatif: Desain Alternatif 1 (Zona 3B Breksi, Zona 3C Andesit), Desain Alternatif 2 (Zona 3B Breksi, Zona 3C Breksi), dan Desain Alternatif 3 (Zona 3B Andesit, Zona 3C Breksi). Evaluasi kekuatan struktur dianalisis melalui pemodelan numerik geoteknik menggunakan modul SEEP/W untuk analisis rembesan dan SLOPE/W untuk stabilitas lereng pada berbagai kondisi pembebanan, termasuk pengaruh beban gempa Operating Basis Earthquake (OBE) dan Maximum Design Earthquake (MDE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Desain Alternatif 1 terpilih sebagai konfigurasi terbaik. Desain ini secara konsisten menghasilkan angka Safety Factor (SF) stabilitas lereng hulu dan hilir yang memenuhi standar SNI-8064:2016. Dari aspek hidrolis, debit rembesan yang melintasi tubuh bendungan (Qh hulu = 1,88 × 10⁻⁶ m³/det) terbukti jauh di bawah kapasitas drainase (Qf = 5,17 × 10⁻⁴ m³/det), dengan Faktor Keamanan erosi internal (piping) mencapai 5,47 (FK > 4,0). Kesimpulannya, Desain Alternatif 1 direkomendasikan karena terbukti aman terhadap kelongsoran dan piping, efisien, serta optimal dalam memanfaatkan ketersediaan batuan quarry di lapangan.

Limitations in the quantity and quality of main materials can reduce the feasibility and efficiency of the existing dam design. This study aims to design and evaluate alternative material configurations for the main dam body of a Concrete-Faced Rockfill Dam (CFRD) at the Bener Dam, Central Java, to adapt to material constraints. Modeling was conducted by engineering the rockfill materials in Zone 3B (Quarry Run Rockfill) and Zone 3C (Blasted Rockfill) into three alternative design scenarios: Alternative Design 1 (Breccia in Zone 3B, Andesite in Zone 3C), Alternative Design 2 (Breccia in both Zones 3B and 3C), and Alternative Design 3 (Andesite in Zone 3B, Breccia in Zone 3C). Structural strength was evaluated through numerical geotechnical modeling using the SEEP/W module for seepage analysis and SLOPE/W for slope stability analysis under various loading conditions, including pseudo-static earthquake loading for Operating Basis Earthquake (OBE) and Maximum Design Earthquake (MDE). The results indicate that Alternative Design 1 was selected as the optimal configuration. This design consistently yields the Safety Factor (SF) values for both upstream and downstream slope stability, fully complying with SNI-8064:2016 standards. Hydraulically, the seepage discharge passing through the dam body (Qh upstream = 1.88 × 10⁻⁶ m³/s) is significantly lower than the drainage capacity (Qf = 5.17 × 10⁻⁴ m³/s), with an internal erosion (piping) Factor of Safety reaching 5.47 (SF > 4.0). In conclusion, Alternative Design 1 is strongly recommended as it is proven safe against slope failure and piping, efficient, and optimal in utilizing the available quarry rock on site.
