Abstract

Perpustakaan Sekolah Rakyat di Jombang dan K-House merupakan dua proyek yang menerapkan pendekatan arsitektur berbasis penyelesaian masalah dengan mempertimbangkan aspek fungsi, konteks lingkungan, serta kebutuhan pengguna sebagai dasar utama proses perancangan. Untuk menjamin kualitas, keandalan, keamanan, dan keberlanjutan hasil desain, kedua proyek disusun mengacu pada tiga belas standar kompetensi Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI). Perpustakaan Sekolah Rakyat Jombang dirancang sebagai fasilitas pendidikan yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan seluruh siswa dan guru melalui penerapam konsep arsitekutr tropis kontemporer yang responsif terhadap kondisi iklim, memaksimalkan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami, serta menciptakanlingkungan belajar yang nyaman, efisien dan selaras dengan karakter kawasan. Sementara itu, K-House mengusungkonsep rumah tinggal bergara tropis luxury yang menitikberatkan pada visual yang mewah, gagah dan kenyamanan penghuni melalui pengaturan proporsi ruang yang tepat, zonasi yang efisien, optimalisasi sirkulasi dan estetika integrasi yang harmonis antara sistem struktur, utilitas, dan estetika bangunan. Pada kedua proyek tersebut, berbagai aspek perancangan, seperti skala dan proporsi bangunan, komposisi massa, pemilihan material dan warna, pencahayaan alami, sistem ventilasi, serta hubungan antara ruang dalam dan ruangluar dirancang secara terpadu untuk menghasilkan bangunan yang fungsional, adaptif terhadap lingkungan, memiliki nilai estetika serta mampu memberi kenyamanan bagi penggunanya.

The Jombang Public School Library and K-House are two projects that apply a problem-solving approach to architecture, taking into account functionality, environmental context, and user needs as the primary foundations of the design process. To ensure the quality, reliability, safety, and sustainability of the design outcomes, both projects were developed in accordance with the thirteen competency standards of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI). The Jombang Public School Library was designed as an educational facility capable of accommodating the needs of all students and teachers through the application of a contemporary tropical architectural concept that is responsive to climatic conditions, maximizes natural lighting and ventilation, and creates a comfortable, efficient learning environment that harmonizes with the character of the surrounding area. Meanwhile, K-House embodies the concept of a luxury tropical residence that emphasizes a lavish, imposing visual aesthetic and resident comfort through precise spatial proportions, efficient zoning, optimized circulation, and a harmonious integration of structural systems, utilities, and architectural aesthetics. In both projects, various design aspects—such as building scale and proportions, massing, material and color selection, natural lighting, ventilation systems, and the relationship between interior and exterior spaces—are designed in an integrated manner to produce buildings that are functional, adaptable to the environment, aesthetically pleasing, and capable of
