Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi rasio co-firing sawdust pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) 400 MW terhadap kinerja termal dan emisi gas rumah kaca. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan simulasi siklus thermal dengan menggunakan variasi rasio co-firing sawdust 3%, 5%, dan 7%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sawdust dapat meningkatkan efisiensi boiler hingga 3%, mengurangi emisi CO₂ sebesar 15%, serta menjaga stabilitas operasi boiler pada beban 80-100%. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menyoroti tantangan operasional yang terkait dengan fluktuasi kualitas bahan baku sawdust dan manajemen supply chain. Diharapkan, hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi PLTU di Indonesia serta mendukung pencapaian target energi baru terbarukan (EBT) 2025.

This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in the sawdust co-firing ratio in a 400 MW Steam Power Plant (PLTU) on thermal performance and greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, a thermal cycle simulation was conducted using variations in the sawdust co-firing ratio of 3%, 5%, and 7%. The results show that the use of sawdust can increase boiler efficiency by up to 3%, reduce CO2 emissions by 15%, and maintain boiler operation stability at 80-100% load. In addition, this study also highlights operational challenges related to fluctuations in sawdust raw material quality and supply chain management. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide recommendations for improving the efficiency of PLTUs in Indonesia and support the achievement of the 2025 renewable energy (EBT) target.
