Abstract

Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA) Keputih, Surabaya, telah dialihfungsikan menjadi kawasan Hutan Bambu sejak tahun 2001. Meskipun demikian, proses dekomposisi sampah

The Keputih Landfill in Surabaya has been converted into the Bamboo Forest area since 2001. However, long-term waste decomposition may still generate leachate that can migrate through the subsurface and potentially contaminate the surrounding environment. This study aims to map the subsurface resistivity distribution and identify leachate using the two dimensional Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) method with the Wenner-Schlumberger array. Measurements were conducted along six survey lines with lengths of 80–100 m and an electrode spacing of 5 m. The apparent resistivity data were processed using RES2DINV software through a least-squares inversion approach. The inversion results show subsurface resistivity values ranging from 0.95 to 482 Ωm, indicating heterogeneous subsurface conditions. Low-resistivity zones (<10–15 Ωm), interpreted as leachate, were predominantly identified along Survey Lines 1, 2, and 3. Survey Lines 4 and 6 were dominated by higher-resistivity materials, while the anomaly on Survey Line 5 was influenced by water-saturated pond sediments. Overall, the leachate distribution tends to follow the local topographic gradient and groundwater flow direction. These results demonstrate that the 2D ERT method is an effective non-destructive technique for identifying leachate distribution in former landfill areas and provides valuable subsurface information for environmental assessment and sustainable management.
