Abstract

Proses pengujian Variable Speed Drive (VSD) di PT Siemens Indonesia masih dilakukan menggunakan panel simulator konvensional yang memerlukan penyambungan kabel secara manual setiap kali dilakukan pergantian jenis modul. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan lead time pengujian menjadi lama yaitu 60 menit setiap pengetesan satu VSD, meningkatkan potensi terjadinya human error seperti kesalahan pemasangan kabel (wiring).

The Variable Speed Drive (VSD) testing process at PT Siemens Indonesia is still carried out using a conventional simulator panel that requires manual cable connections every time a module type is changed. This condition causes a long testing lead time of 60 minutes for each VSD test, increasing the potential for human error such as wiring errors. Therefore, this study aims to develop a digital simulator module based on a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is able to automate the VSD testing process and evaluate the effectiveness of the system using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. The research method begins with hardware and software design, including the preparation of system architecture, PLC and HMI programming using TIA Portal, relay integration as an input-output signal regulator, and functional testing of all system components. Furthermore, an effectiveness analysis is carried out using the OEE method by calculating three main parameters, namely Availability, Performance, and Quality, to determine the level of effectiveness of the developed testing process. The results show that the digital simulator module is able to automatically configure signals and speed up the testing process compared to conventional methods. Testing lead time was reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes, a 50% increase in efficiency.
