Abstract

PT X Tbk. adalah sebuah badan usaha yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan hasil laut dan hasil bumi. Perusahaan yang berlokasi di Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur, ini berfokus pada pengolahan hasil laut dan hasil bumi untuk diekspor ke negara lain. Dalam menjalankan proses produksi, perusahaan ini masih menggunakan pencatatan kegiatan produksi secara manual. Hal ini menyebabkan laporan hasil produksi dalam satu hari tidak dapat disajikan secara cepat karena memerlukan pengeditan kembali untuk disajikan dalam bentuk laporan. Selain itu, rumitnya proses produksi juga menyebabkan beberapa laporan yang tersaji menjadi tidak akurat. Ada dua hal utama yang ingin diketahui oleh manajemen, namun sulit disajikan karena keterbatasan waktu dan kerumitan proses, yaitu data supplier dan perubahan berat untuk setiap proses produksi. Proses perancangan sistem ini dibagi dalam tiga tahap, yaitu analisis sistem, desain sistem, serta penulisan laporan dan dokumentasi. Proses perancangan sistem ini menggunakan desain berorientasi objek dan metode UML sebagai alat untuk perancangan desain tersebut. Adapun ruang lingkup perancangan sistem informasi ini meliputi proses pengolahan udang yang menjadi andalan perusahaan dalam menghasilkan pendapatan. Hasil yang ingin dicapai dari tesis ini adalah menghasilkan suatu rancangan sistem informasi dalam bentuk diagram UML yang apabila diimplementasikan dapat membantu pihak manajemen untuk melakukan analisis berdasarkan laporan yang disajikan serta dapat membantu pihak IT dalam mengembangkan sistem informasi tersebut.

PT X Tbk. is a company specializing in seafood and agricultural product processing. The company is based in Sidoarjo, East Java, and focuses on processing seafood and agricultural products for export to other countries. During the production process, the company still uses manual data recording in its processing activities. This method requires additional time to prepare daily production reports because the production data must be edited before being presented in a format suitable for management needs. In addition, the complexity of the production process causes some of the available reports to be inaccurate. There are two main types of information that management needs to obtain but that are difficult to provide due to time constraints and process complexity, namely supplier data and changes in shrimp weight at each stage of the production process. The system design process is divided into three stages: system analysis, system design, and report writing and documentation. The system design uses an object-oriented approach and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a design tool. The scope of this information system design covers the shrimp processing process, which is one of the company's main sources of revenue. The expected result of this thesis is an information system design in the form of UML diagrams. If implemented, the system can help management conduct analysis based on the reports provided and assist the IT department in developing the information system.
