Abstract

Dengan estimasi umur pabrik selama 10 tahun, dapat diketahui bahwa internal rate of return (IRR) sebesar 16,68%, pay out time (POT) 3,1 tahun, dan break even point (BEP) sebesar 30,46%.

Salt is a general term used for a chemical compound called sodium chloride (NaCl). Salt is widely needed in several industries, including preservation and chemical mixtures. In addition, salt is also important for consumption. Currently, Indonesia's pharmaceutical industry is highly dependent on imported raw materials, with almost 95% of the required pharmaceutical raw materials (BBO) still being imported. Pharmaceutical salt is a high-quality salt with an NaCl content of \>99.8%. In the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical salt is used as a raw material for infusion preparations, tablet production, vaccine solvents, syrups, oral rehydration salts (ORS), hemodialysis fluids, health drinks, etc. The plant is planned to start operating in 2026 with a production capacity of 4,500 tons/year. The location is planned in Sampang, East Java. This district was chosen because it has raw material availability covering an area of 673.8 km². To fulfill the annual production capacity, the plant will operate continuously for 24 hours per day and 330 days per year. With a raw material feed of 57,200 kg/hour, the plant can produce 568 kg/hour of pharmaceutical salt. To build a plant with a capacity of 4,500 tons/year, a total capital investment of Rp156,282,972,947.92 and a total production cost (excluding depreciation) of Rp41,813,138,203.84 are required, with an estimated sales revenue of Rp90,000,000,000.00. With an estimated plant lifetime of 10 years, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 16.68%, the Pay Out Time (POT) is 3.1 years, and the Break Even Point (BEP) is 30.46%.
