Abstract

Penerimaan siswa baru (PSB) adalah proses penyeleksian administrasi dan akademis calon siswa untuk menuju sekolah dengan jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Permasalahan utama sistem PSB yang ada saat ini adalah sistem tersebut masih bersifat unik tiap kota sehingga masing-masing kota diperlukan rancang bangun sistem PSB yang berbeda pula. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi PSB online yang bersifat dinamis dan dapat diterapkan di semua kota agar lebih efektif dalam pelaksanaannya. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah aplikasi website PSB online yang bisa diimplementasikan di beberapa kota dengan studi kasus PSB kota Jakarta dan Surabaya. Dalam pendokumentasiannya digunakan template dokumentasi ReadySET. Aplikasi ini merupakan aplikasi berbasis web yang menggunakan metode Object Oriented Programming (OOP) untuk mempermudah proses pengintegrasian dengan modul-modul lainnya. Aplikasi ini juga dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan framework CodeIgniter (CI). Hasil dari Tugas Akhir ini adalah sebuah modul penayangan informasi PSB melalui website. Modul ini dibangun secara dinamis sehingga diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan pada lebih dari satu kota tanpa perlu melakukan rancang bangun lagi sistem informasi PSB online di setiap kota tersebut.

Student enrollment (PSB) is the selection process of administrative and academic candidate students for going to school which has higher education level. The main problem of PSB system at this time is the system is still unique in each city so that each city needs a different design structure of PSB system. Therefore, we need PSB online information system that is dynamic and can be applied in all cities so the implementation will be more effective. This final project will make PSB online website application that can be implemented in several cities with PSB case study of Jakarta and Surabaya. The documentation uses ReadySET documentation template. This application is a web-based application that uses Object Oriented Programming (OOP) method to facilitate the process of integration with other modules. This application is also built using PHP programming language and CodeIgniter (CI) framework. The results of this final project are a module for showing information of PSB through website. This module is built dynamically so that it can be implemented on more than one city without needing to design structure PSB online information system in each city again.
