Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan pendidikan tingkat menengah yang mempersiapkan peserta didik terutama untuk bekerja di bidang keahlian tertentu. Setelah lulus, mereka diharapkan mampu memasuki dunia kerja sesuai dengan kompetensinya, baik bekerja di perusahaan orang lain maupun membuka usaha sendiri. SMK Negeri 3 Boyolangu telah melakukan bimbingan karir kepada siswa yang akan lulus untuk membantu pengambilan keputusan, yaitu bekerja atau melanjutkan pendidikan. Faktanya, terdapat sekitar 10% lulusan SMK tahun 2018 yang melanjutkan pendidikan dan mengalami kenaikan pada tahun berikutnya. Oleh karena itu, untuk membantu pihak sekolah dalam melakukan bimbingan penyuluhan, perlu dilakukan analisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi lulusan SMK dalam mengambil keputusan. Dengan menggunakan metode Regresi Logistik Biner, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat dua faktor yang memengaruhi keputusan setelah lulus, yaitu bekerja atau melanjutkan pendidikan, yaitu harapan orang tua (X4) dan peringkat 5 besar (X7). Mayoritas harapan orang tua lulusan adalah agar mereka bekerja, dan sebagian besar lulusan tidak pernah mendapatkan peringkat 5 besar. Lulusan SMK Negeri 3 Boyolangu tahun 2018 yang memiliki harapan orang tua untuk melanjutkan pendidikan cenderung mengambil keputusan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan 18,505 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan lulusan yang memiliki harapan orang tua untuk bekerja. Lulusan yang pernah mendapatkan peringkat 5 besar cenderung melanjutkan pendidikan 10,577 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan lulusan yang tidak pernah mendapatkan peringkat 5 besar, dengan ketepatan klasifikasi sebesar 79,2%.

Vocational High School is a secondary-level education institution that prepares students, particularly for employment in certain areas of expertise. Therefore, after graduation, students are expected to be able to enter the workforce according to their competencies, either by working for other companies or by starting their own businesses. Vocational High School 3 Boyolangu has provided career guidance to graduating students to assist them in making decisions about whether to work or continue their education. In fact, approximately 10% of vocational high school graduates in 2018 continued their education, and this figure increased in the following year. Therefore, to assist the school in providing counseling and guidance, it is necessary to analyze the factors that influence vocational high school graduates in making decisions. Using the Binary Logistic Regression method, it was found that there are two factors that influence the decision after graduation, namely whether to work or continue education: parental expectations (X4) and being ranked in the top five (X7). The majority of parents expected their children to work, and most graduates had never achieved a top-five ranking. Graduates of Vocational High School 3 Boyolangu in 2018 whose parents expected them to continue their education were 18.505 times more likely to decide to continue their education after graduation than graduates whose parents expected them to work. Graduates who had achieved a top-five ranking were 10.577 times more likely to continue their education than graduates who had never achieved a top-five ranking, with a classification accuracy of 79.2%.
