Abstract

Beberapa tahun belakangan, multiseat mulai diteliti dan dikembangkan sehingga menjadi suatu sistem yang handal seperti halnya komputer pada umumnya. Multiseat dikembangkan oleh beberapa orang karena multiseat memberikan alternatif efisien dengan memangkas biaya yang dikeluarkan akibat pengadaan banyak komputer. Penelitian dan pengembangan multiseat dimulai dari konfigurasi X-server pada setiap distribusi linux. Konfigurasi X-server dilakukan karena X-server bertugas menangani cara menggambar window pada berbagai jenis hardware display dan menangani input penggunayang berasal dari pointing device pada setiap distribusi linux. Sampai saat ini, Konfigurasi X-server dilakukan secara manual untuk menjamin ketepatan konfigurasi dengan hardware yang akan dikonfigurasi. Pada tugas akhir ini, dibuat suatu aplikasi yang mengimplementasikan konfigurasi multiseat yang bertujuan untuk mempersingkat waktu dalam melakukan konfigurasi sistem multiseat. Implementasi konfigurasi multiseat ini diharapkan memberikan solusi nyata yang mudah, cepat dan tepat dalam melakukan konfigurasi tanpa harus kesulitan melakukan konfigurasi dan membuang banyak waktu untuk melakukan konfigurasi manual.

In recent years, multiseat has been examined and developed into a system as powerful as the computer system in general. Multiseat is developed by some people because it provides efficient alternatives to cut costs incurred due to supply for many computers. Research and development on multiseat started from X-server configuration on each linux distribution. X-server configuration is done because the X-server is responsible for drawing window on various types of display hardware and handles user input that comes from the pointing device on any linux distribution. So far, X-server configuration is done manually to ensure the accuracy of the configuration with the hardware that will be configured. In this final project, application is made to implements the multiseat configuration that aims to shorten the time in the multiseat-system configuration. This implementation of multiseat configuration is expected to provide real solutions that are easy, fast and precise in their configuration without having to make difficult configurations and discard a lot of time to do the manual configuration.
