Abstract
Tugas akhir ini membahas analisis stabilitas batu pelindung pipa bawah laut akibat gaya gelombang dan bahaya kejatuhan jangkar pada sistem perpipaan milik PT. Amerada Hess.

This final project presents an analysis of the stability of protective stones for an underwater pipeline due to wave forces and the danger of falling anchors on the pipeline system owned by PT. Amerada Hess. The stability analysis of the protective stones, or rock dumping, involves placing stones to protect the underwater pipeline located in a trench on the seabed. Rock dumping also functions as a wave absorber that protects structures by reducing or dissipating wave energy and mitigating the danger of anchor impact.
The stability analysis in this final project was performed using physical laboratory tests and mathematical calculations. The physical test approach used a scale ratio of 1:15 between the model and prototype, with different wave heights and periods. The stability of the tested protective stones was set at no more than 5%, while the damage observed in the physical test results was limited to no more than 2%.
The wave force occurring at a wave height of 1.38 m at the study location was 9,494.88 Nm/s. Based on the mathematical analysis, the required weight of the surface stones to withstand this wave force was 0.29 tons. If the material is used as protective stones for the pipeline, the stones must be able to withstand a maximum effective anchor impact energy of 1,287,603.73 J. Stones weighing 0.21 tons (less than the design weight of 0.29 tons) have an effective energy capacity of 1,323,453.68 J, which is sufficient to withstand the maximum anchor impact. The energy required to move the 0.21-ton protective stone on the seabed is 195,187.5 Nm/s, or a wave height of 6.26 m would be required to move it. Therefore, it can be concluded that the 0.21-ton protective stone is stable against wave forces and anchor impact.
