Abstract
Tugas akhir ini membahas analisis stabilitas batu pelindung pipa bawah laut akibat gaya gelombang dan bahaya kejatuhan jangkar pada sistem perpipaan milik PT. Amerada Hess.

This final project presents an analysis of the stability of protective stones for an underwater pipeline subjected to wave forces and the risk of anchor impact on the pipeline system owned by PT. Amerada Hess. The stability analysis of protective stones, or rock dumping, concerns the placement of rocks to protect underwater pipelines located in trenches on the seabed. Rock dumping also functions as a wave absorber that protects structures by reducing or dissipating wave energy, as well as mitigating the risk of damage caused by anchor impact.
The stability analysis in this final project is performed using physical tests in a laboratory and mathematical calculations. The physical testing approach uses a scale ratio of 1:15 between the model and prototype, with variations in wave height and period. The stability of the tested protective stones is limited to no more than 5%, while the damage observed in the physical test results must not exceed 2%.
The wave force generated by a wave height of 1.38 m at the study location is 9494.88 Nm/s. Based on mathematical analysis, the required weight of the surface stones to withstand this wave force is 0.29 tons. If the stones are used to protect the pipeline, they must be capable of withstanding a maximum effective anchor impact energy of 1287603.73 J. Stones weighing 0.21 tons, which is less than the planned weight of 0.29 tons, have an effective energy capacity of 1323453.68 J, making them safe against the maximum anchor impact.
The energy required to displace the 0.21-ton protective stones from the seabed is 195.18,75 Nm/s, or a wave height of 6.26 m is required to move them. Therefore, it can be concluded that the 0.21-ton protective stones are stable against wave forces and anchor impact.
