Abstract
================================================================================================= Pejanggik Street corridor has been known as a potential culinary district by local community or by some tourists. As a primary collector corridor, Pejanggik Street corridor has some potential parking spaces and sidewalks area. Unfortunately, those potencies didn’t come along with good corridor design, hence it seems that there were some conflicts between the importance of pedestrian and other users of corridor. Based on the problem, it seems like Pejanggik Street corridor needs a redesign as a potential culinary corridor which also pedestrian-friendly.
The assessment has been done by using some criterias from walkable culinary corridor: land use, connectivity, aesthetic, comfortable, safety, and conspicuous. Analysis method that used in this study is qualitative-descriptive. As an implementation of the method, walkthrough, mapping, and survey were used as an analysis techniques. Those techniques helped in picturing internal condition along with potencies and problems in Pejanggik Street corridor.
The result of this study is the schematic design of Pejanggik Street corridor through some aspects: land use, connectivity, aesthetic, safety, comfortable, and conspicuous. Those six aspects served the importances of corridor’s users, to embodying a walkable culinary corridor.
