Abstract

Pertambahan jumlah penduduk Kabupaten Sidoarjo menyebabkan peningkatan jumlah timbulan sampah.

Increase in district Sidoarjo population cause increase in total municipal wastes. At this time DKP district Sidoarjo serving 28,5% from total of municipal wastes. Municipal wastes of Sidoarjo planned for next ten years is 2,2–2,4 liters people-day and waste of market is 0,7 liters/m³-day with reduction ten person. Aerobic bioreactor landfill system is a municipal wastes treatment system with leachate recirculation and air injection to the landfill. This system doesn’t produced methane gas so this system doesn’t produced emissions for the environment. This planning with mining process needed area 12 Ha for settlement and decided by ten block settlement. Maximum gas production is 0.7184 m³ that happen at 4 month with maximum rate of gas production 0.7889 m³/year at 3rd month. Maximum leachate production flow rate are 403,47–530,86 m³/day. This planning used 8 pump for leachate production. Leachate recirculation started at 6 month after operation of landfill. Recirculation leachate flow rate 70% from leachate production and used 4 pump for leachate recirculation. Air injection used blower with air flow rate 0,33 m³/kg-day of municipal wastes. Drainage system planned with flow rate area A-1 1,1358 m³/sec; area A-2 1,2255 m³/sec; and area A-3 4,6573 m³/sec. The cost for this planning is Rp. 95.050.288.590,00 or about Rp. 59.000,00 tons of municipal wastes.
