Abstract

Kota Jayapura merupakan salah satu daerah tujuan bagi penduduk dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Pelabuhan laut Kota Jayapura merupakan salah satu dari sarana pelengkap untuk kemudahan transportasi laut yang merupakan aset dari PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia IV Jayapura. Kepedulian terhadap kebersihan sebenarnya sudah cukup baik, namun sampah belum dikelola sesuai dengan standarisasi pengolahan yang seharusnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu perencanaan sistem pengelolaan sampah yang meliputi pengumpulan, pewadahan serta jenis pengolahan sampah di Pelabuhan Jayapura yang sesuai dengan SK SNI T-13-1990-F. Kegiatan penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi dan analisis langsung di lapangan daerah studi, termasuk di dalamnya interview dengan petugas yang ada di lapangan. Perencanaan ini meliputi teknis sistem operasional kegiatan pewadahan dan pengumpulan sampah. Dengan hasil evaluasi teknis pewadahan dan pengumpulan, dapat diketahui sistem yang ideal dan optimal untuk pengelolaan persampahan pada daerah studi tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh jumlah timbulan sampah rata-rata adalah 111,76 kg/hari yang terdiri atas 61% sampah kering dan 39% sampah basah. Dari hasil perencanaan diperoleh desain wadah sampah yang terdiri atas 2 tipe yaitu wadah permanen dan non-permanen serta alat pengumpul. Sistem pengelolaan sampah akan direncanakan berbasis daur ulang.

Jayapura is one of most visited place by people from various regions in Indonesia. The harbour of Jayapura is one of the available complementer facilities for water transportation's edsinees, which is an asset of PT. Pelabuhan IV Jayapura. Caring about environmental awarness is actually will-done, but the solid waste management is not yet conducted based on the waste management standard. Regarding that condition, a design of solid waste management system is needed, consist of storage system, collection system and management system based on SK SNI T-13-1990-F. Research is conducted by observation and direct analysis in the field of study including interviews with some of related staffs. The design consist of operational system technic of waste storage and collection. From the evaluation of storage and collection technic, the ideal and optimal waste management system for harbour of Jayapura can be analyzed. From the sampling result, the average amount of solid waste is 111,76 kg/day, consists of 61% dry waste and 39% wet waste. The result of design is two types of bin, a permanent waste bin and a non-permanent, and a collection tools. The solid waste management is designed based on recycle system.
