Abstract
Gedung Teknik Informatika Vocational Education Development Center (TI VEDC) Malang merupakan sarana pendidikan bertaraf nasional yang memiliki 7 lantai dengan luas rata-rata 935 m² per lantai dan jumlah pengguna sebanyak 326 orang. Perencanaan instalasi pemadam kebakaran menggunakan SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) dan mengacu pada standar NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). Sistem pencegahan kebakaran pada bangunan terbagi atas sistem pencegahan pasif dan sistem pencegahan aktif. Sistem pencegahan pasif mengharuskan konstruksi bangunan mampu menciptakan kestabilan struktur selama terjadi kebakaran. Sementara itu, sistem pencegahan aktif mengharuskan bangunan dilengkapi dengan sarana proteksi kebakaran, seperti alarm kebakaran, Alat Pemadam Api Portabel (APAP), hidran boks, hidran pilar, sprinkler, dan sistem deteksi asap yang dipasang oleh pemilik gedung sebagai upaya pencegahan kebakaran. Pada Proyek Akhir ini, perencanaan hanya mencakup instalasi pemadam kebakaran dan penempatan alat pemadam kebakaran pada Gedung TI VEDC Malang dengan menggunakan sistem pencegahan aktif. Gedung TI hanya menggunakan alat pemadam kebakaran berupa hidran boks, hidran pilar, dan sprinkler. Perencanaan instalasi pemadam kebakaran pada Gedung TI VEDC Malang dengan menggunakan sistem pencegahan aktif diharapkan dapat menghasilkan perencanaan yang baik dan sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku. Perencanaan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan keamanan bagi pengguna dan kenyamanan bagi lingkungan sekitar, serta mengurangi kerugian besar akibat terjadinya kebakaran.

The Information Technology Vocational Education Development Center (IT VEDC) Malang is a national-standard educational facility consisting of seven floors, with an average floor area of 935 m² and a total of 326 users. The fire protection system is planned in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and refers to the standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Fire prevention systems in buildings are divided into passive and active fire protection systems. Passive fire protection requires the building structure to maintain its stability during a fire. Meanwhile, active fire protection requires the building to be equipped with fire protection facilities, such as fire alarms, portable fire extinguishers, hose cabinets, fire hydrants, sprinklers, and smoke detection systems, installed as measures to prevent and control fires. This Final Project focuses on planning the fire protection installation and determining the placement of firefighting equipment in the IT VEDC Malang building using an active fire protection system. The fire protection equipment planned for the building consists of hose cabinets, fire hydrants, and sprinklers. The fire protection installation plan for the IT VEDC Malang building is expected to provide an effective design that complies with the applicable standards. This planning is also expected to ensure the safety of building occupants, provide comfort for the surrounding environment, and minimize substantial losses caused by fire.
