Abstract

Adanya potensi pergerakan penduduk dari daerah pemukiman ke pusat-pusat aktivitas kota harus ditunjang oleh sarana dan prasarana transportasi yang memadai. Mobilitas tersebut dapat memengaruhi sektor pendidikan, perdagangan, dan kegiatan lainnya. Penyediaan angkutan kota tersebut berkaitan dengan lokasi tujuan pergerakan, sedangkan jumlahnya tergantung pada perkembangan penduduk yang bergerak. Permasalahan tersebut mendasari Tugas Akhir ini yang bertujuan menganalisis pergerakan penumpang pada saat sekarang ini dalam bentuk Matriks Asal Tujuan (M.A.T), sebagai dasar prediksi M.A.T tahun 2014 dengan menggunakan Metode Furness. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan survei, baik survei asal tujuan penumpang yang dilakukan dengan mencatat naik turun penumpang angkutan kota maupun survei okupansi yang dilaksanakan pada lokasi tertentu dengan mencatat jumlah kendaraan angkutan kota dan jumlah penumpang yang lewat per jam. Survei okupansi ini dilakukan mulai pukul 06.00 sampai dengan pukul 18.00. Hasil yang diperoleh dari M.A.T tahun 2009 kemudian digunakan untuk analisis pembebanan tiap ruas sebagai dasar perhitungan kebutuhan armada angkutan kota pada tahun 2014 dan menganalisis kinerja armada angkutan kota tersebut.

The potential movement of residents from residential areas to urban activity centers must be supported by adequate transportation facilities and infrastructure. This mobility can influence the education sector, commerce, and other activities. The provision of urban public transportation is related to the destinations of these movements, while the required number of vehicles depends on the movement patterns of the population. These problems form the basis of this final project, which aims to analyze current passenger movements in the form of an Origin-Destination Matrix (ODM), as the basis for predicting the 2014 ODM using the Furness Method. Therefore, passenger origin-destination surveys must be conducted by recording the number of passengers boarding and alighting from urban public transportation. Occupancy surveys must also be conducted at specific locations by recording the number of urban public transportation vehicles and passengers passing each hour. These occupancy surveys are carried out from 06:00 to 18:00. The results obtained from the 2009 ODM are then used to analyze traffic assignment on each road section as the basis for calculating the required urban public transportation fleet in 2014 and evaluating the performance of the urban public transportation fleet.
