Abstract
Dalam dunia industri, kontinuitas proses produksi sangat ditentukan oleh ketersediaan listrik, kontinuitas tersebut dapat dijaga dengan menggunakan sistem proteksi tenaga listrik yang efektif dan selektif. Untuk meningkatkan produksi, PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur melakukan ekspansi dengan membangun Future New Ring yang merupakan pengembangan feeder outgoing Tursina. Pada Future New Ring akan dibangun pembangkit 5x34 MW untuk menyuplai kebutuhan energi listrik pabrik baru. Kemudian akan diintegrasikan dengan sistem eksisting melalui Bus Tursina 33 kV. Keadaan tersebut membuat setting koordinasi proteksi pada PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur mengalami perubahan dari keadaan sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan studi koordinasi proteksi untuk mengetahui setting rele yang tepat setelah dilakukan penambahan Future New Ring. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi koordinasi proteksi ini dapat melindungi dari gangguan berupa arus beban lebih dan arus hubung singkat di sistem Future New Ring maupun di sistem eksisting Tursina.

In the industrial world, the continuity of the production is determined by the availability of electrical continuity, it can be filled by using the electric power system protection to fulfill the factor of effectiveness and selective. To increase production, PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur expanding their factory by build a New Future Ring which is the development Tursina feeder outgoing. In Future New Ring will be constructed 5x34MW generator to supply the new plant electrical energy.Then it will be integrated with existing system through Tursina bus 33 kV. These circumstances make PT.Pupuk Kalimantan Timur have to change the setting of protection coordination from its previous state.. Therefore, this thesis is focused on discussing the protection coordination studies to determine the appropriate relay setting after the addition of Future New Ring. The protection coordination have to protect from disruption of current overload and short circuit current.
