Abstract
Keamanan serta kehandalan pada sistem kelistrikan merupakan kebutuhan yang harus terpenuhi dalam bidang industri untuk menjaga kontinuitas serta keselamatan para pekerja dan peralatan lainnya. Untuk mendapatkan sistem kelistrikan yang handal, dibutuhkan sistem proteksi yang efektif dan selektif dalam menangani gangguan. Dengan adanya proyek baru unit PLBC, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap membangun suatu sistem kelistrikan baru yang disuplai langsung oleh PLN. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan studi koordinasi proteksi pada sistem tersebut untuk mendapatkan sistem yang aman dan handal. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan perhitungan dan simulasi koordinasi proteksi pada sistem kelistrikan baru PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap. Perhitungan yang dilakukan meliputi setting relay arus lebih dan relay diferensial. Grading time antar relay arus lebih dikoordinasikan antara 0,2 hingga 0,3 detik. Di samping itu, sistem dilindungi dengan relay diferensial guna mengisolir gangguan internal peralatan. Idiff pada relay diferensial diatur sebesar 2In dan slope sebesar 30%. Dengan adanya setting koordinasi proteksi tersebut, sistem kelistrikan PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap lebih aman dan handal.

Security and reliability of electrical system are requirements that have to be filled in the industry to maintain the continuity and safety of workers and other equipments. Effective and selective protection is needed to deal with distractions for obtaining a reliable electrical system. Within the new project of PLBC unit, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap build a new electrical system which is supplied directly by PLN. Therefore, protection coordination studies are needed in the system to aim for safe and reliable system. This final project would be performed calculations and simulations of protection coordination for the new electrical system at PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap. The calculation includes overcurrent relay and differential relay's setting. Grading time between relay overcurrent coordinated between 0.2 to 0.3 seconds. In addition, the system is protected by the differential relay to isolate internal disturbances equipment. Idiff of the differential relay is set for 2In and slope for 30%. Using the setting of the protection coordination, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap's protection coordination is more secure and reliable.
