Abstract

Arus inrush merupakan arus transien yang terjadi ketika peralatan listrik yang menggunakan prinsip elektromagnetik melakukan starting.
Kesalahan operasi rele proteksi, penurunan kekuatan isolasi merupakan beberapa dampak yang dapat diberikan oleh arus inrush. Maka diperlukan studi lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana karakteristik arus inrush untuk memahami bagaimana fenomena arus inrush sehingga dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh arus inrush dapat diminimalisir.
Pada Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan percobaan dengan megambil
data arus inrush transformator uji 3 fasa 3kVA tipe inti core konvesional, dengan metode pengukuran berbasis eksperimen. Pengujian pada transformator dilakukan pada kondisi transien, yakni saat starting, pada awalnya transformator dikondisikan memiliki resedual fluks dan diatur agar sudut penyalaan transformator berada dititik 0 derajat dan sudut penyalaan 90 derajat. Proses energize
transformator dilakukan dengan metode skuensial atau bergantian dari ketiga tegangan fasanya.
Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa rasio kenaikan antara metodepenyalaan secara skuensial dan metode non-skuensial, maka untuk mendapatkan nilai arus inrush terkecil saat melakukan starting transformator lebih baik menggunakan metode penyalaan 90 derajat secara skuensial. Sedangkan nilai arus inrush peak berbanding lurus dengan waktu demagnetisasi, jadi semakin lama waktu demagnetisasi pada transformator uji maka sisa fluks pada transformator semakin berkurang.

Inrush current is a transient that occur whenever an electrical
equipment which is using electromagnetic principle, on starting state.
Fault operation on protection relay, degradation of insulation quality are
some of impact that caused by inrush current. It is necessary for further
studies about characteristic of inrush current to understand the
phenomenon so the impacts that caused by inrush current can be reduced.
In this study research conducted an experiment by taking the
data of inrush current transformer 3kVA 3-phase conventional core type
based on measurement methods. The transformers test performed in
transient state. Initially transformers had residual flux and regulated in
order to get the firing angle of transformers in 0 degrees and 90 degrees.
Transformers energize proses was conducted by sequential method or
changed the three phase of voltage responsively.
The test results showed the increasing ratio sequential methods
between non sequential, In order to get the smallest inrush current value
in starting, transformers should regulate the firing angle in 90 degrees
sequentially. While the peak inrush current value is proportional to the
demagnetization time, the longest demagnetization time in transformer
test then the residual flux in the transformer decrease.
