Abstract
Pemanfaatan ekstrak biji semangka sebagai inhibitor korosi
dalam media 2% NaCl telah diteliti. Pada penelitian ini,
digunakan metode pengurangan berat dan polarisasi
potensiodinamik dengan variasi konsentrasi inhibitor. Ekstrak biji
sebesar 96,45%.

Utilization of a watermelon seed extract as corrosion
inhibitor for tinplate in medium 2%NaCl has been investigated.
This research use weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization
method with various inhibitor concentrations. Watermelon seed
extract can decrease the corrosion because there are L-citrulline
compound and organic molecul others in the extract. Inhibition
efficiency maximum for weight loss method is 89.89% and for
potentiodynamic polarization method is 96.45%.
