Abstract

===================================================================================================== Utilization of a watermelon seed extract as corrosion inhibitor for tinplate in medium 2%NaCl has been investigated. This research use weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization method with various inhibitor concentrations. Watermelon seed extract can decrease the corrosion because there are L-citrulline compound and organic molecul others in the extract. Inhibition efficiency maximum for weight loss method is 89.89% and for potentiodynamic polarization method is 96.45%.
