Abstract

PT PAL Indonesia merupakan salah satu perusahaan terbesar yang bergerak dalam bidang maritim, dengan adanya persaingan nasional dan international yang sangat ketat maka perusahaan harus selalu memiliki strategi yang baik dalam bidang teknologi maupun sumber daya manusia, sehingga dalam penelitian ini difokuskan pada kinerja karyawan di divisi rekayasa umum. Berdasarkan data pendukung lima tahun terakhir, divisi tersebut mengalami keterlambatan dalam penyelesaian produk yang tidak sesuai dengan visi dan misi perusahaan. Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur sebelumnya, peneliti mengambil beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan di divisi tersebut, diantaranya lingkungan, fasilitas, insentif serta motivasi.
Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh lingkungan, fasilitas, insentif dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT PAL Indonesia divisi rekayasa umum. Dengan menggunakan teknik analisa Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) – Partial Least Square (PLS) dirasa sesuai dengan penelitian ini dikarenakan penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan teori, selain itu metode SEM dapat digunakan dengan jumlah data responden kurang dari 200 responden dengan nilai n minimum 30.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah variabel kinerja hanya mampu dijelaskan sebesar 64,4% oleh variabel lingkungan, fasilitas, insentif dan motivasi sedangkan sebesar 35,6% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain, lingkungan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi dengan hasil t statistik 3,412, lingkungan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja dengan t statistik 1,97 dan motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja dengan t statistik 1,82.

PT PAL Indonesia is one of the largest company engaged in the maritime field, the existence of competition at national and international very tight then the company should always have a good strategy in the field of technology and human resources, so in this study focused on the performance of employees in the engineering division general. Based on the data supporting the last five years, the division experienced delays in the completion of a product which is not in accordance with the vision and mission of the company. Based on the results of previous literature study, researchers took several factors that affect the performance of employees in the division, including environmental, facilities, incentives and motivation.
The study is aim to determine the effect of environment, facilities, incentives and motivation to employees performance in PT PAL Indonesia general engineering division. Using the technique of analysis Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) - Partial Least Square (PLS) which is considered in accordance with this research because this research is the development of theoritical, additionally SEM method can be used with the amount of data is less than 200 respondents with a value of n of at least 30.
The result of this study is perfomance variable explained by environmental, facilities, incentives and motivation only 64,4%, while 35,6% explained by other variables, significant effect on the environment of motivation with the value of t statistic 3,412, significant effect on environment of performance variable with the value of t statistic 1,97, and significant effect on motivation of performance variable with the value of t statistic 1,82.
