Abstract

Peramalan penjualan memungkinkan sebuah perusahaan memiliki tingkat persediaan yang optimal untuk membuat keputusan yang sesuai dan mempertahankan efisiensi dari kegiatan operasional. Peramalan menjadi alat bantu penting bagi perusahaan untuk perencanaan produksi dan distribusi yang erat kaitannya dengan sumber daya dan biaya yang harus dikeluarkan. Oleh sebab itu, dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan peramalan dengan membandingkan dua metode yaitu metode Winter Eksponensial Smoothing dan metode Event Based untuk menentukan penjualan terbaik di perusahaan. Metode event based terdiri dari metode moving average event based dan eksponensial smoothing event based yang perhitungannya menggunakan indeks special event, dan kemudian hasilnya dibandingkan dengan metode winter eksponensial smoothing. Setelah dilakukan peramalan diperoleh hasil bahwa metode winter eksponensial smoothing sesuai untuk produk A dan produk B yang memiliki tingkat error terkecil. ================================================================================================================== Sales forecasting allows a company to have an optimal inventory levels to make appropriate decisions and maintain the efficiency of operational activities. Forecasting be a valuable tool for companies to plan production and distribution are closely related to the resources and costs. Therefore, in this final project forecasting by comparing two methods of winter’s exponential smoothing method and event based to determine the best sales in the company. Event based methods consist of a method of moving average event based and exponential smoothing event based that the calculation using the index special event and then the result were compared with winter exponential smoothing method. After forecasting the result that winter exponential smoothing method according to the product A and product B that has the smallest error.
