Abstract

Sistem rangka gedung adalah sistem struktur dimana gaya lateral akibat gempa dominan dipikul oleh dinding geser. Sedangkan sistem ganda ialah sistem struktur dimana gaya lateral akibat gempa dipikul oleh dinding geser dan sekurang-kurangnya 25% dipikul oleh sistem rangka pemikul momen. Sebagai seorang engineer dalam mendesain suatu gedung diperlukan pemilihan sistem struktur mana yang memiliki desain yang lebih menguntungkan dan optimal dari segi struktural. Maka dalam studi ini dilakukan perbandingan desain struktur antara kedua sistem struktur tersebut dengan membandingkan volume beton dan volume tulangan dari kedua sistem struktur tersebut. Dari hasil studi didapatkan volume beton sistem ganda lebih besar yaitu 616,35 m3 sedangkan sistem rangka gedung sebesar 527,26 m3. Namun volume tulangan sistem rangka gedung lebih besar yaitu 714,9 ton dibandingkan volume tulangan sistem ganda yaitu 683,27 ton. Dari rasio volume tulangan dengan volume beton didapatkan rasio untuk sistem rangka gedung lebih besar yaitu 1,356 sedangkan sistem ganda 1,109 sehingga dapat dikatakan pada gedung tinjauan dengan tinggi bangunan 38 m, sistem ganda lebih optimal digunakan.

Building frame system is a system structures that lateral forces caused by the earthquake predominantly borne by shear wall. While dual system is a system structure that lateral force caused by the earthquake borne by shear wall and at least 25% is borne by moment-resisting frame system. As an engineer in designing a building is required to select system which structure has a design that is more profitable and optimal structural terms. So in this study conducted a comparison between two systems structural design of these structures by comparing volume of concrete and reinforcement from each structural system. From the study results obtained volume of concrete from dual system is 616,35 m3, larger than building frame system that is 527,67 m3. However, volume of reinforcement from building frame system more than dual system. That is 741,9 tons for building frame and 683,27 tons for dual system. So reinforcement ratio obtained from building frame system is 1,356, larger than dual system that is 1,109. It can be said the review of buildings which height is 38 m, dual system is more optimal.
